SPN: You Can't Handle The Truth

As much as I love my "Sadam" theory, it was never gonna be that. I figured it was most likely to just be that Sam lost his soul in hell/it didn't come back with him/etc. That really does make the most sense. So, his "split" personality can then be explained by Sam acting how he is when soulless and then remembering he's not supposed to be that way and trying to act as he did before. Which also explains why the Sam we thought was "our Sam" just seemed off somehow.

However, this revelation reminds me of My Bloody Valentine and what Famine said to Dean. That Dean is dead inside. What I've never really figured out with that is: a) Dean does still have his soul, but it just isn't "working" or b) Dean doesn't have a soul either. If it's b, then the writers really dropped the ball on that one. If a, it makes a little more sense, but is still something that was never dealt with past Famine's conversation with Dean. Ya know, as season 6 goes on, there seem to be a lot of things that have been dropped/forgotten by TPTB that really shouldn't have been. Hmm....

Anyway...

Dean's phone call with Bobby? LOL! That was awesome. Bobby getting pedicures and watching Tori and Dean? Too awesome.

And it looks like Lisa is completely out of the picture now. Can't say I blame her, really. :-( Sam and Dean really do need to work out their "erotic codependency" issues before either one of them can ever really think about having a "normal" life.

And I think that's it...

Aw, I liked the Sadam theory too. But I agree, this "soulless" one makes a lot of sense. I can see Sam overcompensating a little when he realizes he's not supposed to act that way.

I'm glad you brought up about MBV. I remember all the talk in that episode of Dean not giving in to hunger and Famine said it was because he had no soul. I'd like to think he has a soul but maybe it's been "deadened" by something? I dunno... so many discrepancies keep coming out.

Bobby is THE AWESOME :D

Yes. Overcompensating. That's the word I was looking for.

Ok, so, with my Sadam theory not being correct, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ADAM?!?!?!?!

Ok really wish WC would return so I would stop watching this show; but kinda hooked turn the channel on the gross stuff but find it intresting and funny at times. Agree something about Bobby I enjoy and love the revelations he gave to dean. Nice to see some of the humour kinda back in the series. Especially when the woman said to dean about her breasts as he was leaving and how he came back to check them out. Miss the old dean looks like he is coming back. And souless sam is scary wondering who would catch him in his not lies;glad someone did so that dean would see the truth.

As a new viewer to show am wtaching reruns on tnt but eps you recommend and dokn't worry won't be ending up at the cons lol.

It is obvious. But I'm very interested to see how they'll fix Sam, if they even can...

I think in MBV, Famine was commenting on Dean's lost hope...well, he has truly hit rock bottom now!!

*hugs*

Otherwise, YES...this post! Hope we get an explanation on Sam's soul missing - and what souls mean. If they are a commodity, I wonder if Sam's soul (since it has touched Luifer's Grace) is a marketable piece *is scared now*

It does seem like souls have some sort of supernatural value. Especially after the ep with Balthazar. He was collecting souls. He's an angel. What does he need them for? *shrug*

My guess right now, is that Sam's soul just got left behind when his body was dragged out of hell. But I'm sure that will be proven wrong, too. LOL
