Yes, I'm a Gleek

My husband accused me of being a Gleek earlier tonight. I was like, "Um, yeah? What's your point?" He thought he might be mocking me or something. LOL

Anyway, on with the show....

So, let's start this out with a confession: I identified with several of the characters and the title of this episode a great deal. I didn't have my first kiss until I was 21. And that was by a friend of my college roommate who found out and took pity on me. So, yeah. Some of this hit a little close to home with me.

For some reason, I totally did not see the football player thing coming. Even though I am quite fond of the saying "Me think s/he doth protest too much." LOL I am a Shakespeare geek. Anywho, that was a very interesting development and made me actually gasp out loud.

Is it wrong if I want Kurt to transfer to that other school? Not that I want him off the show, but it could be some really fantastic character development. Letting him open more and being more free as a gay man.

Good story for Puck, too. I think it softened him up a bit. I like the Puck & Artie friendship storyline. There's some fun in that, I think.

The songs were really good this episode, too. All around, this was much more back to the season 1 Glee that I loved so much. The songs in some episodes have seemed very forced and shoved into place. These fit much better, I think.

So, yeah. A+ Glee. :-D

I have three words for this episode of Glee: MORE. DARREN. CRISS. ♥ I loved him and Kurt together and I cannot wait to see Kurt and Blaine's relationship grow. It was the first time I've been excited about Glee in a looooooong time.

The football jock was surprising and inevitable. I figured that was what was going on, but I didn't expect him to do anything, and Kurt's reaction to it was amazing.

No, but seriously, more Darren Criss.

My 14 yr old is a huge fan of A Very Potter Musical (I think that's the name) and she was sooooooo happy when she realized that this was the episode Darren was in. And for about an hour after the show she kept going "He's so pretty!!!". :)

I didn't feel the "he's so pretty" upon seeing Darren in person, but I did after watching that episode. (Maybe it's the school uniform? ;) )

I was really excited because he's friends with friends of mine and active with the wizard rockers, so for me it was very much like seeing "one of my own" make it. (Plus I keep thinking AVPM will get more notice after this and that also makes me excited.)

Oh!! I just read that Darren Criss (who plays Blaine) is being promoted to a series regular next year!! I think this lends very well to the possibility of Kurt transferring. :-D

The last bit of the episode make me cry (and I rarely do that); I feel bad for Kurt as well and think he should transfer as well. The football player caught me as well, I don't think that any one really saw that coming, lol.
