What do y'all use for grooming down there? I'm starting to get some ingrown hairs and things and I'd like to try and stop those? I use really the most basic of things - a little body wash and a razor (men's Gillete, actually). So, um, yeah. Any advise?

I use a razor, but also use this shave gel called Bikini Zone. It's a blue-green color and works really well - no knicks or cuts. I get it at Walgreens.

Bikini Zone is great! I also use those razors specifically designed for the bikini area...they don't shave quite as close but that actually helps prevent the ingrown hairs!

Cool! I've been thinking about trying one of those razors specifically for that, but wasn't sure if they really worked well enough to justify the cost. Thanks!

I also use the Bikini Zone at times. Right now I am using the creamier of the Skintimate line, I use that line on my legs. I use a gel after I shave to keep from getting the red bumps and I do use the little razors that are made for shaving in the bikini area.

Laser hair removal!! Ok, that was no help to you, but I didn't want you to think not a lot of people were reading. :)

Shave alongside the hair (with it) before shaving 'against it' does that make sense?

Also, did you change the type of under-garment you wear? sometimes that can affect things too...

*hugs*

I do actually usually do that.

I've been wearing the same kind of underwear for years. Some pairs are fitting tighter after the baby than others and that could be exasperating it.

I use bikini zone. I used to use body wash, but became allergic to it and that caused me to get ingrown hairs. Now I just use the white Ivory bar soap, regular razor, pat dry and immediately apply bikini zone.

I'm actually in the process of getting mine lasered into permanent oblivion, but it's super expensive and takes about 9 months of treatments. It better work, is all I can say!

Previously I used a Phillips Ladyshave (one of the electronic shavers with a foil screen) because it cuts it close enough not to be visible but not so far below the skin that they itch or get ingrown when they come back.
