So, another thing about the Lamisil as mentioned in my previous post, no drinking while I'm on it since it's really hard on your liver. And I leave for Vegas in 35 days. :-(

Meh. I'm crazy enough without the alcohol, as anyone who has seen me at a con can attest to. :-)

I took Lamisil a couple of years back. The thing that bugged me the most was that I had to have blood tests done every 8 weeks or so to check for liver problems.

It helped, sorta, but could've been better. After that I tried this nail lacquer type stuff called Ciclopirox. It actually cleared it up a lot.

They want me back every month before they renew the prescription. Which, kinda annoying, but I can deal with it if it'll help.

Is the Ciclo stuff over the counter? I may need to check into that.

I think it might be over the counter. My podiatrist had given me a prescription for it, but I believe my dad got it OTC. I've seen it in a few different forms - nail lacquer, topical solution in a bottle, and cream. I think it's also called Penlac (Ciclopirox is the generic one I believe).
