Inside The Actor's Studio

Bradley Cooper is the first alum to go back as a guest? Wow. Somehow I thought there were others before him...

... That makes no sense.

Wait wait, I think I know where the confusion is. Actors Studio Drama School (ASDS) started at The New School, but then moved to Pace University in 2006. The latter is where Bradley Cooper graduated from, and I think that's what they meant by first alum. Not the first alum from ASDS ever to return, but the first from Pace University.

I think.

Ahhhh, OK. Yeah, that makes sense.

I thought it was at the New School, too. But then the credits said Pace University and I was confused. But he also said that Bradley graduated in 2000. Which would still have been when they were at The New School. Curioser and curioser...

In that case, I go back to "this makes no sense."

I skimmed some Wiki entries, and I think it could actually be true. Actor's Studio itself was founded in 1947, but the drama school only started in '94. So there are plenty of people who studied at the AS, the organization, who then returned to be interviewed at the program (ie: Rourke, Hoffman, etc), but Bradley Cooper is the first from the drama school, which is a degree graduate program at an accredited university.

This is my deduction. I think I'm right.

I think you are right. That makes sense to me. Good detective work! :-)
