Ugh. I just don't know, anymore. I'm so indecisive! LOL I kinda want to grow it out, but at the same time, I never end up really knowing what to do with it, so it just looks the same all the time. And the short is hair is just so FUN. Blagh. I don't know. Plus I just got it colored, so I don't want to just chop all that off. And every time I do this, my husband is like "Are you sure you can get through this and not just chop it off when you're half way there?" And every time I say yes, and then give up. Plus summer is coming and why so I want long hair is summer that's just going to stick to me? And... blergh. I don't know. What should I do, oh lovely flist?

I have the same hair issue. I keep it short (not as short as yours), but it's curly, and I can't do a damn thing with it. I had them cut it really short in the back and then longer toward the front, but it's not a good cut for curly hair, I think.

I'm wondering if I should go shorter than chin length.

Short can be tricky with curly hair. I think sometimes longer is a bit better because then you get a little more weight to help hold the curl down and tame it a bit. But I d0n't have curly hair, so I could just be talking out of my ass. LOL Most of my hair & fashion knowledge comes from What Not To Wear. So I suppose it should all be taken with a grain of salt. ;-)

Go with your gut. That will be your best guide.

The thing is, if I grow it out, it gets frizzy and the curl doesn't hold (it's more wavy), and I think it looks terrible (also, I hate hair in my face).

I have yet to find a hair style I truly love - but I do like it short.

My hair is super curly, and so I've had to keep it long my entire life just so that I don't look like Little Orphan Annie [I keep it a little longer than 1/2 way down my back so that it is wavy].

I Love my hair long: ponytails, buns, hot rollers or a 2" curling iron w/some hairspray=Victoria's Secret model [both take 20-40 mins for my length, depending on my patience & the result I want], pinning up where the bangs would be if I had bangs for that nice bump with the rest of my hair coming around it like a mane [Tiffani Thiessen often does this in White Collar - SIMPLE!], straightening iron for a sleek and bouncy do [same as curling time], or you can put mousse/gel/etc in while wet and let it air dry for a natural look. Long hair is very easy and the sky is the limit. BUT, it's not for everyone. Hope that was helpful! =D
