Including my wacky dream about the last two eps...

The Doctor is back! Yay!!! And after the first week, I am never watching it on BBC America again. That was supposedly presented with "limited commercial interruption." Bull fucking shit. They had MORE commercials than any other show I watch! I'm pretty sure I missed at least half the episode due to all the cutting they had to do. It's such crap. Just expand the airing time to an hour and half, you'll get the commercials in but we can see the full episode. If they can do it for Top Gear, they can certainly do it for Doctor Who.

Anywho, yay! :-) Very interesting season opener. The Doctor dies, and we know who did it, now we just have to figure out how to stop it. If that's possible.

Mark Sheppard is amazing!! And I'm still highly amused by the fact that he is FINALLY on Doctor Who and he's playing an American. LOL But it was pretty awesome that his dad was the older him at the beginning of Part 1. Nice casting there.

Those aliens were really freaky!! I actually had a dream about them last night. Sort of. Like, they were here, but instead of disappearing from your memory, they all wore like flat paper masks of celebrities so you didn't realize they were them. But I caught on when I was in a restaurant and noticed that everyone else was a celebrity. That's not normal. Gotcha! It was weird, but not really scary like a nightmare.

I ended up buying the iTunes half season subscription. Aside from not having to watch the commercials, hopefully they won't be cut to hell.

I am illegally downloading them via torrent. I don't get along with iTunes and BBCA sucks, so I'm kinda of stuck. LOL

Oh, can I have the link? My friend and I used to use mad martha, but they pulled that, didn't they? In any case, I won't be able to afford cable when I move, and I need my doctor!!

and eep! what a mindf**k of an episode. And it's amazing how Dr. Who can make me love characters that I am determined to hate (I'm looking at you, River). Anyway, soooo excited for the rest of the season, especially now that they seemed to realize they had Karen in waaay too much make-up.

I just use the Pirate Bay (thepiratebay.org). The files usually go up pretty quickly and DL at a good speed, too.

How can you hate River?!?! She's amazing! But, yeah. That was a hell of a season opener!

I'm watching on BBCA, but I'm still d/l the UK airings because the commercial free viewing is more suitable to my understanding of the episodes. And I get it 3 to 4 hours beforehand.

Mark Sheppard rocked his role and I loved that it was his own father who played his character's older self. I don't think we do know who shot the Doctor. Afterall, the girl got out of the suit - we don't even know for sure who the girl was (will be) or who could have possibly ended up in the suit. Amy being pregnant, but not pregnant, is like a fluctuation in time-space. Like a phase shift. But I don't understand how that will play out. The girl being able to regenerate raises all sorts of traumatic issues. I go apoplectic thinking about them.

I'm in the mood to watch a River Song marathon wherein I watch them from HER perspective. "Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon" followed by "The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang" followed by "Time of the Angels/Flesh and Stone" followed by "Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead". Her timeline in reverse is kind of creepy and every time we meet her the more sad I feel because we know more of her fate that she doesn't but we learn more of the Doctor's acquaintance with her from our/his perspective. Only Moffat.

The Silents are creepy ass mo-fos. They do have an almost typical Grey Alien look to them. They also result in memory loss, and therefore time lapses that are typical of alien abduction stories. They seem to explain perfectly all the alien stories we hear about. With their memory altering ability it just makes them scarier. Sid mentioned a comment that you could torment your kids who are watching by marking them with ticks after they go to sleep. It's cruel, but amusing. Do it to your hubby. :-)

Amy's possible storyline is definitely interesting. Anything involving kids/pregnancy has taken on a whole new meaning since I had Martouf. If that girl does turn out to be Amy's daughter, and she can regenerate, does that make The Doctor her daddy? My mind is boggling at the possibilities.

A River Song marathon kind of sounds like a good idea. I may have to steal it.... ;-)

Ooo! That is true! The whole memory loss thing totally takes on a new meaning with these guys. Somehow, I think my husband would not be as amused by that as I am....
