switch842I'm watching the SG1 marathon on the SyphilisSyFy Channel and they are currently showing Threads. One of my favorite episodes. Anyway, during the scene where Sam randomly drops in on Jack after Pete shows her the house, I was suddenly struck by something. It's presumably the weekend; a day off for SG1, at least. And still, Carter is wearing this awful twinset and skirt that are just not flattering at all. Amanda Tapping has a great figure and that outfit easily added 20 pounds to her or something. It was ridiculous. Then Kerry Johnson comes out and she's in this form-fitting v-neck top and jeans. Complete contrast to Carter. It's like they're trying to tell that even in her downtime Carter still can't relax. Which isn't true, cos we've seen Carter in civvies before and she hasn't been like that.
Anyway... I'm not sure where I was going with that, but it just struck me as odd and amused me. So I figured I'd share. :-)

I heard about the SG-1 marathon and was annoyed I had to miss some of those good eps while being stuck at work. Perfect excuse to take out my DVDs, at least. Anyway, good observation about Threads. I never liked Sam's outfit in that scene - thought it was kinda odd.
