WE'RE HOME!

switch842The trip was FANTASTIC! Martouf was an absolute champ. As soon as the wheels of the plane lifted off, he was out like a light. Both ways. Slept for about an hour and then he just kind of played around for the last 30 minutes of the flight or so. My parents were with us, so we kind of passed him back and forth and he was great. Got a little squirmy and fussy, but no really big crying fits or anything. That made me sooooooooooo happy that I wasn't the mom with that damn baby on the plane. Phew!
It was very nice getting to see my grandma again. 90 years old. Damn.... The birthday party was very nice. It was just a dinner at a local steak house. Good food. As a present we hired a photographer to come and take pictures. Cos, really, what kind of present do you get for someone who's 90? He was very nice, did some posed shots with everyone and some candid shots of the party. And then Nanny is getting an album with 200 pictures in it!!! So, that should be nice.
Overall, Martouf did pretty well considering this was his first big trip away. Getting him to sleep the first night was a little rough, but once he was down he stayed out the whole night. Yay. The napping and eating schedule got a little messed up, but we're getting back on track.
So, I have about 20 tabs open of things to catch up on. Plus a 20in20 icontest I need to get done (think I'll do that tonight after he goes to bed) and then my SPN Crossbang stuff I REALLY need to get cracking on. So much to do and so little time....

Date: 2011-05-16 09:43 pm (UTC)Wow, God bless your Grandma. lol, my Grandma is 91 and I have no idea what to get her anymore for her birthday. Usually I just get her some candy she likes. But the picture album sounds like a great gift!
I'm so glad Martouf did so well!
