In half of those pictures he's not wearing socks. And in the other half you can't see his feet anyway. Is this a thing these days? I could seriously cut back on my laundry duties if I stopped wearing socks.

I think it's a Darren thing. He loves his crazy socks. And not wearing socks. I say go for it, man. Why not? ;-)
