So, hubby took Martouf out to Indiana for the day, leaving me with a nice, peaceful empty house in an attempt to make up for this blunder the other day. It's a start.

Anyway, he just called. They were going to come back tonight, but will now be coming home in the morning in his mom's car because when they were at the gas station filling up before they started home, some fucking idiot in a huge ass truck, didn't look in their rear view mirror and crashed right into hubby's car, breaking the hood latch and completely crushing the front right panel. *sigh*

Everyone is fine, but he just had his car in the shop after the breakdown from our South Carolina trip and now this? Apparently said idiot offered to just pay cash there to avoid a police report and involving the insurance, but yeah. That's like $5000 in repairs.

So, now there's calling insurance companies and trying to figure out how they're going to get his car home since he can't drive it. I believe his mom has AAA if the insurance won't cover towing that far, but still. What a fucking pain. I'm just glad his mom was there, too, so at least they're not stranded.

People are idiots.

Thanks, hon. *HUGS* It's just one more thing we didn't really need. Hopefully insurance will cover everything and we won't need to pay anything out of pocket (not sure how much is left of the deductible). But then there's the whole thing of him having a rental and not HIS car and blegh. It's annoying.

Make sure you check the AAA if it is available because a lot of them won't cover (at least out here) towing of more than 50 or 100 miles....
