Seriously.

Can we just stop it already and enjoy the funtimes and not get obsessed with all this damn speculation? Cos that's all it is. It's people speculating about speculation and taking things to the nth degree like that computer commercial where the tech guy drops his laptop and then zombies! For realz. This is just... it's too much. Y'all are making me dread my favorite show cos you can't stop obsessing over SHIT THAT'S PROBABLY NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

It's times like this that I kind of really hate fandom....

I'm gonna go stare at some pretty pictures of Darren.....

It's made me depressed, lol.

I'm going to get over it though, and enjoy tonight.

Me too. It hasn't happened, so I won't freak out until IF/WHEN it does.

I will say that is the one thing that could honestly get me to stop watching Glee. And I will forgive A LOT for that show, but that? Hell, no.

Murphy's comments were kind of vague (and I'm trying to keep it vague, too), so, it's possible he didn't mean it in that way, but just to see that person have some sort of positive expression to someone could be interesting. And it would. But not NOT with youknowwho.

What are you talking about? The show aired, can you tell me what the freak out was about? :D

There were comments made this week by Chris Colfer and Ryan Murphy about a possible storyline. The question that was asked of Chris though was very leading and he could really only answer the way he did. I can send you more info over PM if you want.

And that's why I have stopped watching Glee communities and why I avoid spoilers like the plague. I feel a lot better this year watching Glee than I did last year. The Glee fans I have on my flist don't hardly post spoilers anyway, so it's all good for me!

Spoilers are easy enough to avoid in comms, but on tumblr, it's pretty much impossible. Even if with all the right tools in place, it all relies on keywords to hide posts. So, if those keywords are missing, then the post doesn't get hidden and it's all there for everyone to see. It's really annoying.

Ah, now I understand! It does sound very annoying! I don't have a tumblr account, so I didn't realize that was where most of the posts were!:) More reason for me not to get a Tumblr account! (And apparently I like exclamation points today!)

LOL Exclamation points, ahoy! ;-)

Yeah, it's kind of annoying. Over the summer and during hiatus, it was great, it kept fandom alive for me but now that the show is back, ugh... I don't know. It's just not good.

Aw, I don't watch Glee, so I don't know what you're referring to, but I do know that speculation can ruin the fun sometimes. OTOH, there have been some shows that I watched that I loved the speculating--especially by the people who were smarter than me and saw things that I didn't see (i.e. foreshadowing) and things like that. I think that different people enjoy reacting to a show in different ways. I've always enjoyed analyzing and picking things apart, and some people see that as squee-crushing. I think maybe just avoid the people who are bugging you right now? (Was that what you were referring to about Tumblr?)

I think the problem with Glee speculation is that everyone doing the speculating is like 16 years old and so they freak out at the smallest things and take everything to the worst possible conclusion. And everything is DEFINITELY going to happen even when the comments are only, "Yeah. That could be interesting." Which, yes it could but THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN! Ugh....

I've put some more filters in place for tumblr to hopefully weed out more of the icky stuff. So, we'll see how that goes. *fingers crossed*
