Well, almost everything. Like, did they completely forget that Rachel is Jewish and therefore doesn't celebrate Christmas? It seems awfully strange to have the Jewish character be the voice of reason about greed on Christmas or whatever that was supposed to be.

Christmas is not the only holiday, people. Hanukkah has a pretty amazing story behind it, too, ya know.... (I'm not Jewish, but it just pisses me off a bit when something that is so essential to a character keeps getting forgotten for story. Oh, wait. This is Glee....)

We know one of Rachel's dads is Jewish, but perhaps her other father isn't and they celebrate Christmas in a low key way? She did say happy Hanukkah at the end.

I guess that's possible. Though, this episode she seemed really gung-ho about it. LOL

The box. There were several promo still of this episode released in the last week or so. One of the more notable ones was this:



As you can imagine, all the Klainers promptly freaked the fuck out. There was a post on tumblr that has since been deleted (which is leading me to doubt its authenticity), that it was a gum wrapper ring Blaine had made for Kurt. Supposedly, the purpose behind that was to sort of highlight the differences between Kurt & Blaine's relationship and Rachel & Finn's. But since Rachel seems to have mellowed on her own, it looks like it was cut for not really being needed and for time as some other scenes that were in the preview last week were also cut (Santana singing Santa Baby, etc).

PS THAT WAS THE BEST HOUR AND I'M PRETTY SURE THE UNIVERSE MADE THAT JUST TO CHEER ME UP.

I kind of died a little when Finn and Puck showed up in those costumes. I mean, I died.

And everything about Kurt and his Holiday Roommate was perfect. (Plus watching all the Klaine comms collectively go "WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOOOOOX?" and then post SE7EN gifs was just another kind of hilarity for me.)

I missed it entirely last night but caught it when I rewatched the Klaine parts. AHAHAHAHAHA.

Seriously, that whole section of the episode was basically me cackling and then rewinding and then chinhandsing.

I saw that this morning! I think it's cute, but I don't mind not seeing the promise ring. (Though we should see if he's wearing it in other scenes, has anyone looked yet?)

From other screenshots that was supposed to happen right at the end of the episode just before the last Finchel scene. So we won't know anything about it until they come back in January. :-(
