With most TV shows being on their winter hiatus, I've finally managed to make my way through some of my Netflix queue. Here are some reviews of my recent watches: Horrible Bosses, You Again and Morning Glory.
Horrible Bosses
OK. I fucking loved this movie. I thought it was absolutely hilarious. There are a couple twists I didn't see coming, but it's pretty straight forward from what was in the preview. So, if the preview interested you, I think you will like the movie as a whole. Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrel were excellent as two of the bosses. There's also a really interesting cameo by Ioan Gruffudd. And I think I might be starting to develop something of a crush on Jason Sudeikis.
You, Again
This is the one with Kristen Bell where her brother ends up engaged to her high school nemesis and the two mothers were also high school nemesises (nememsi? what is the plural of nemesis?). Anywho, it was entertaining. Nothing earth-shattering, but Kristen Bell was enjoyable as she always seems to be. Jaime Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver as the two mothers were perfect. It's not quite a rom-com, but definitely a chick flick.
Morning Glory
This is the one with Rachel McAdams as a morning news show producer. Again, it was okay. Entertaining enough to help kill my afternoon while Martouf napped. Another one that's pretty much what's from the preview.
So, yeah. That's it! :-)
