God. Dean is so broken. He is completely shattered and torn apart and he will never be whole. Not even close.

This has to be the last season. It has to be.
Cas is gone.
Bobby is gone.
Bobby's house is gone.
Baby is gone.
Dean is shattered.

This cannot continue. I think I might actually be upset if they get renewed, if that makes sense. I mean, with everything they've been through, isn't it just time to say, "We're done. The story's been told."? Honestly, it should have happened with season 5 and Sam and Dean both jumping into the pit. I don't know. This is just... too much or something.

Next week, though - KRYCEK!!!!!!!!!!!! slkdgfldskjfgkdjgh I loved him. He was totally my favorite. I'm a Rat Lover and proud to admit it. :-D

I will admit it is going to be hard to keep watching. But I need to see what happens with Dean.

If I were dick roman i would be worried. And sad to see bobby go but everyone seems to keep giving dean the same advice. I swear his broken heart started when he lost lisa and ben and now cas and then bobby. I am surprized he is still upright. But dean still powers on not sure how. and next weeks eps looks kick ass.

Oh, Dick Roman is in for a WORLD of hurt. He best start running.

Looking back, Dean hasn't been right since he came back from hell, really. It's like he was never able to get his bearings straight and then, hey! It's the apocalypse! Oy. Not really a surprise he's turned into a massive alcoholic, really.

I was going to say something else as I clicked the post comment button but then I suddenly had a thought that may be worth exploring.

The episode had some weird time jumps - the beer disappearing without noticing, an out-of-place jump-cut as Dean and Frank walked up to the RV the first time, Dean sleeping for 36 hours straight. I'm wondering if the Leviathans are up to something big that's messing with the whole space-time continuum. What if their plans are to destroy the known universe, including time itself. And, of course, they get thwarted in the end (because the Winchesters cannot lose, even if they are left for broken) and the fabric of space-time bounces back into place... returning people from the dead, like Bobby and Cas.

Or maybe that's too much like a shiny red reset button. Or maybe that's exactly the kind of thing this show would do.

That's a really interesting theory. Especially with next week apparently being a time travel episode, that could signal the start of things going wonky. Something like that, though, would have to be handled VERY carefully to get me to buy into it. From a motive perspective for the Leviathan, I can see it. If they destroy time/space, they're no longer trapped in purgatory/needing to inhabit human bodies on earth, etc.

Honestly, if they are going to go on for another season, some sort of MAJOR reset button would definitely be needed. But I wouldn't want the rest to go so far as to erase their memories, either. Cos, as awful a place as Dean is in right now, what he might be able to learn from this whole experience about himself, the world, other people, etc, would be invaluable.

Yeah I admit, I'm kinda worried about what's going to happen now... what's really left? If it means seeing more of the boys working together and their brotherly bond, I don't mind that, but still... the fallout... :(

As sad/upsetting as this is to admit, if things don't go well, I can very clearly see Dean committing suicide by murder. What does he have left to live for? Nothing. Nothing they do ever seems to do an actual good. They just keep getting more and more shit piled on top of them and at some point Dean is just going to give in and let it suffocate him.
