switch842: (Glee: The Klaine Show)

Um, so what the hell was that?

The only good/awesome thing about that episode was Beiste eloping with Cooter. Seriously. That was aweseome. Yay Beiste! \o/

The rest was just a massive clusterfuck. If you ignore what the purpose behind it was, the scene with the pool was pretty cool.

Will asking Finn to be his best man was the funniest fucking thing ever. And not in a good way. I could not stop laughing during that whole thing. Seriously. So ridiculous.

And can we have Klaine back please? Even just like some acknowledgement that they're friends or something? I mean, we got "a look", so yay, I guess. But seriously, it's been a fucking drought with these two. I thought the new writers on the show would be a good thing. Apparently not. They SUCK.

Seriously. What happened to Glee? I miss my show...

Interesting...this was the first ep in a LOOOOONG DAAAAAMN TIIIIIME that I liked the show. From beginning to end. I didn't have one complaint. I got choked up a couple times (c'mon how an you not like Sue and Becky at least. I love that Sue has a soft spot for her :)) and I friggin loved the pool proposal scene. Also, with the exception of the opening number (which was giving me second had embaressment for some reason) I loved all the music in tonight's ep. I want to put it on my iPod. I haven't liked Glee music that much since Season 1.

I guess everyone views this show differently but truly, best ep in a long while IMO. :)

And I have high hopes for the Michael ep. :)

I really liked the incorporation of the music in this episode. The way they had both performance numbers and "dream-sequences" works for me. So I also really liked the music in this episode.

(Though I agree, Summer Lovin' had me covering me face and feeling mildly embarrassed. But Grease does that to me as a whole.)

I guess for me, I just haven't been liking Will much since sometime during season 2 and they haven't really done anything to redeem his character. I mean, the scene with Emma's parents is the perfect example. How that should have gone is her dad made his little speech that he made and Will replied, "I don't care. I love your daughter and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I'll be there to help her through any hardships that may come." Instead, he seemed to actually agree with what he said and was thinking about not marrying Emma and then suddenly one day later he's all, "Yay! Marriage!" What happened? What changed? He was just such a douche during that whole thing I couldn't deal with it.

When Will asked Finn to be his best man I covered my face and asked, "WHY DON'T YOU HAVE ANY AGE-APPROPRIATE FRIENDS?!?!?!?!"

I have to say, the Finn storyline in this episode dealing with the army and his dad was excellent; I was totally behind that. The rest....? Finding the perfect marriage proposal? Eeeeeehhhhhh..... "PERFECT" proposals make me crazy because I think it places the wrong emphasis on the marriage. Also it really bugs me that a day or whatever before, Will was considering NOT marrying Emma.

And then Finn.... *sighs and shakes head* Finn.

Okay, good things about the episode:

(1) The incorporation of the music.

(2) Finn being told his dad died from an OD.

(3) Blaine during the synchronized swimming.

(4) Kurt's look at Rachel when Finn was talking about having nothing special.

(5) That. Hat. AHAHAHAHAHA.

I will agree on point (1). The only song I really liked was Summer Lovin', but even if I didn't like the songs, how they got worked into the show was done really well.

Yeah, the Finn storyline was definitely very interesting. Though, there was some discussion going around Tumblr that that wouldn't really work somehow with Finn's age or something. *shrug* But they've never said how old Finn was when his dad died, so I don't know.

I figure Finn was born '93 or '94 (which would be a couple years after Desert Storm, if that's when his dad was stationed there); like Glee is all that concerned with details. ;)

Yes, I know major lack of Kurt/Blaine, but I still enjoyed it. Now we've got another two weeks before it comes back with the MJ ep. Fuck.

It's not just the lack of Klaine in a relationship, it's that you'd be hard pressed to think these two boys are even friends, let alone dating most of the time. I mean, they were more couple-y back in season 2 before they actually started dating.

And Ryan has always said that the gay couples on Glee would be treated the same as all the straight couples and they're just not. It's fine for Finn and Rachel to make out in the middle of the choir room, but we can't see Blaine kiss Kurt on the cheek? It's just bullshit.

I agree with this. I can understand them not hand-holding in the halls, but it seems like they might surreptitiously do so in Glee club, or at least SIT TOGETHER all the time. Half the time, they're not even sitting together which is just weird.

YES! I mean, I get that walking down the halls holding hands at McKinley is probably not the smartest move they can make. But Glee should be a safe space for them to be open and affectionate. Especially Blaine. Blaine is/was such a touchy-feely person and I think I can count on one hand the number of times he's touched Kurt this season on one hand.

But SITTING NEXT TO EACH OTHER. In high school I remember not sitting next to your SO as being a sign that SOMETHING WAS WRONG. AAAARRRRGGGHHHH.

I'm starting to wonder if they've broken up and the writers just haven't told us yet! :-P

That would be kind of hilarious if it was true. It was probably because Blaine didn't get Kurt anything for Christmas. :P

Oh, but he did! It was just cut from the episode because Finn had to his Jewish girlfriend 8000 Christmas presents.

And it was such a sweet thing and I soooooooo wanted to see it. We actually got promo shots of the scene, which made them cutting it about a million times worse. Because money was a little tight, Blaine couldn't get Kurt the present Kurt wanted - something from the Elizabeth Taylor Christie's auction. So, instead he made Kurt a ring out of gum wrappers. It was a promise and so sweet and lovely AND I WANT TO SEE IT!!!

Yes, the het kissing takes precedence. No Brittania, either. I'm not saying they need a five-minute makeout session in the locker room (though I wouldn't be opposed to it *g*) but let's see some affection from these boys.
