So, I actually really liked this episode.

There was good development of the season arc and continuation of other points (Bobby's ghost). I'm still not quite 100% clear on what exactly is going on with Cas with regards to the whole Sam-hell-wall thing. But, I was never quite sure how Cas was able to take that on, anyway.

I like the development of the Leviathan story line. I'm glad we're getting some info on how to kill them. Gonna be interesting to see if they can pull it off....

The whole Meg/Cas thing kinda confuses me. It really came out of nowhere when it first came up. I don't not ship it, but I feel weird shipping it. If that makes any sense.... LOL

I felt as a stand alone it wasn't all that engaging. It isn't one I would point to someone to try to pull them into the show. But as an arc development story it wasn't all that bad. It moved some things forward, even if at a slow pace. The season's overall arc is developing more interestingly than the apparent slapstick of last season. I just wish it would move a little bit faster.

I'm curious how Castiel's decision to be a non-combatant will play out, as well as Bobby's... condition. Felicia Day's character previously gave us a clue how to beat the boss. ("You always need a special sword to beat the boss monster." True in any RPG. And she would know.) The tablet kind of feels deus ex machina, but maybe its clue was dropped and we'll move on. A lot of archaeological digging for Roman to do for a piddly thing, but still.

Did you immediately think the tablet was the Ancient tablet from Chimera? Anyway....

The pacing of this season does feel more off than other seasons, but a lot better than season 6 for sure. I guess I'm also a little confused as to why Roman wanted the tablet. As a Leviathan doesn't he know how he can be killed? If so, wouldn't the best thing to do be to NOT dig it up?
