It's called The Avengers.

Seriously. Tony Stark as filtered through Joss Whedon is just the best thing ever. If you love Joss, you will love this. It is 100% a Joss movie.

I'm so mad about them killing Coulson!! He was my favorite. I actually cried a little.

I must admit, there were certain parts of the movie where Chris' voice became Jensen's in my head and I got a little mad that Jensen wasn't Captain America. Cos he would have been amazing.

Like anything on this scale, it's a little nerve-wracking waiting to see how they're going to pull everyone together. But they did! And in a really good way, too. The two after credit scenes were fantastic. Especially the last one. Heh.

I'm gonna need to go see it again. It was that awesome.

When Coulson died I was screaming in my head, "Dammit, I've been Joss'd in a comic book movie!"

I loved how they pulled everyone together. It felt naturally and not forced. Stark telling Banner "Finally! Someone who speaks English!" Stark's Shakespeare in the Park moment to Thor "Dost thy mother know thou hast stolen her drapes?" Basically, Stark just killed with the one-liners.

The last scene in the deli was just brilliant. It was a perfect end scene.

Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Captain America 2 are already in the works, and certainly there will be an Avengers 2. I've heard that positive fan reaction to Ruffalo's Hulk has made Marvel interested in actually doing another Hulk movie with him in it.

Delph has mentioned she won't be able to see the movie in theaters because they're only playing 3D in her area and she can't do that. So I'm planning to write a blow-by-blow spoiler post of the whole movie so she, and anyone else who is interested, can get their fix until it comes out on disc. I hope I can remember it all.

I thought I read something about 6 more Hulk movies? But I think it was on ONTD, so that was probably an exaggeration. I did like his Hulk, though. He was much better than Norton, at least.

Seriously, all those one-liners are why I love Joss so much. He has such a way with words and can say so much with so little.

That sucks about Delph. That's really nice of you to put something together. Good luck with that! :-)

As far as I knew there was previously no interest in another Hulk movie. However, Guillermo del Toro was said to be trying to develop a TV series, but it wouldn't be connected to the canon being established by the movies. I liked Norton's Bruce Banner, hated Eric Bana's, but thought Ruffalo's was wonderful. He finally seems an interesting character with more levels.

I might try to see Avengers again in a couple weeks, when the crowds die down, and do a cheap weekend matinee so I can catch some of the dialog I missed due to uproarious laughter from the audience. It's certainly worth multiple viewings.

I definitely want to go back and see it again. Not sure when or with who, yet, but I'll be going.
