I am EXHAUSTED. We went to the Penn & Teller show last night and it ran late enough that I only got 2 1/2 hours of sleep. Our flight left at 6 am this morning. Ugh. It's awful. As soon as Martouf goes down for the night, I am, too. LOL

But, given all that, Vegas was pretty damn amazing. Saw some amazing things, made a little money. All in all it was a decent trip. I'll try to post some pics and do a little review of what I saw everywhere some time this week.

And I need to watch Supernatural at some point!!! :-)

First day solo here in Vegas. Not too bad. Took the bus up the strip and did some sightseeing. Lost my mom's money in the slot machines. LOL I just got back from a little table run and definitely came out ahead. Yay.

I think I'm gonna chill in the room until hubby gets back from his meetings today and we'll have a bit of a late dinner. Which, I need to find out where I want to go for dinner.... :-)

And we have free internet! Yay!!

Flight was OK. It's really windy out here so the landing was pretty rough. My stomach was not terribly happy with it. And it probably hadn't helped that by the time we landed it had been about 6 hours since I had breakfast. Then we finally got food about 3:00 pm out here, so almost 5:00 back home which is 11 hours without real food. There were some snacks and pop, but not enough. I'm one of those people that needs to eat real food during the day. I cannot subsist on snacks.

Anywho, we hit up the Hard Rock for lunch/dinner/whatever. Then wandered over to the City Center to check out the Aria hotel that hubs helped design. It's very cool. Then we wandered back through New York, New York. The Tropicana is very nice. Our room is quite spacious with very nice furniture. I'm going to break my back in the shower, but that's nothing new. LOL

And now we're just getting settled in for the rest of the stay, figuring out what we want to do. I think I'm gonna need to do some ironing. Awesome. LOL

Later!

Well, it's finally here. Tomorrow morning, we leave for Vegas! Woot!!

I'll be rocking it solo, but that's OK. I think I can handle it. Luckily, The Travel Channel seems to be psychic and had Vegas day all day Sunday. So, I recorded a bunch of the programs to watch and get hints and tips. And, well, if nothing else, I can lounge out by the pool for four days. ;-)

Oh! Get this. This is how much of a girl I am: We'll be in Vegas for four days, right? I'm taking four pairs of shoes. Not counting the pair I'll be wearing. LOL

All righty. Off to start packing...

Later!

Isn't it purty?? [livejournal.com profile] notasinglelady kindly gave me permission to use her amazing Kurt as a Snow Nymph/Blaine as a Wood Nymph art. I totally fell in love with this when she posted it and I just couldn't stop staring at whenever I went through my picture folders. She's so talented. Further explanation, in case the reference is lost on you, as well as the original art post can be found here.

So, it looks like we're going to New York next month now. Sort of. My paternal grandmother has decided to throw herself a 90th birthday party. She lives in New Jersey, not far from the NY border. Since it would be nice for Martouf to get to spend some time with her while he can, it looks like we're heading out. It helps that she is going to pay for everyone's hotel and rental cars. And flights out of Milwaukee are actually rather reasonable. So, yeah. Looks like we're going. And my mom mentioned that if we did go, she and my dad would watch the baby Saturday night if we wanted to go into New York City to do something. My first thought? We are going to see How To Succeed In Business with Daniel Radcliffe. I hear it's an amazing show and, well, DANIEL RADCLIFFE!!! I just hope I can hubby to agree to my plan.... ;-)

Ballet is going well. For me, at least. The flabby bits are definitely starting to get less flabby. ;-) Martouf still hasn't been back. He's actually getting over a cold this week, so I didn't want to take him. I guess maybe we'll try again in two weeks? *fingers crossed*

Off to Vegas in 5 days!!! Tomorrow is cleaning day to get our house ready for my folks to come stay. And the beginning of laundry to make sure everything I want to take is clean. Yay.

And I think that's it. What's new with you?

I'M GOING TO VEGAS!!!!!!!!

Hubby has a work conference out there in mid-April and, as I've never been, we decided that I would go along and have a little mini vacation while we're there! :-) I'm very excited!! Plus, since hubby is going to be in workshops and stuff all day a couple friends from here are going to be coming out for a couple days and [livejournal.com profile] chelle110 might be joining us for a day, too. We're hoping to get flights and hotel all booked this week. I kind of want to stay at New York, New York. Any hotel recs?

Now, the big question - WHAT SHOULD WE DO??? I definitely want to go see Thunder From Down Under. Don't judge. Who wouldn't want to see hot Australian men taking their clothes off? ;-) But anything else a must see out there? I'll probably do a little gambling. I'm not big on that, but I can't not, you know? So, I'll need to brush up on my Craps a bit. Perhaps I shall win a truck load of money and treat my friends to some awesomeness at the SPN Con. ;-)

Oh, and my parents are amazing and have agreed to come stay at our house while we're gone with Martouf. I'll be nervous for sure leaving him for so long, but a bit better since he'll be home, at least.

VEGAS, BABY!!!!!!!!! :-D
