Crazy weekend craziness.....

18 days to the Chicago Con!! Woo-hoo!!! :-D

So, lots of stuff going on with my TV viewing craziness. Queer as Folk has ended (*sob*) but Stargate rocked again! 4 weeks in a row. This is totally awesome.

So, first of all, Stargate. I love Vala more and more every week and think she is just the bomb diggity (if people even say that anymore). Can we please please please keep her forever? She and Daniel are just so great together. I love it! OK, two words: LEATHER PANTS. OMG!! I almost died when I saw Michael and Ben in them. Is it just me, or does it appear that Daniel has a little something "extra" in his pants. ;-) Seriously. Take a look at the left leg. There's something going on down there. :-) And, OK, we actually went through the Stargate! Holy crap! The thing still works! It's a miracle! I really liked the bits of backstory we got on Vala with the traipsing all over the universe to track down everything she stole. Vizzini!! Vizzini was on Stargate! And Teal'c said "As you wish!" It was a total Princess Bride love fest. Which is fine with me cos I love the movie. I guess it was inevitable that funding would be cut for the program now that the Goa'uld are gone. I just wonder how they're going to get it back to deal with the Orii. And I'm really happy that they're keeping Jack "alive" off-screen. So, he hasn't completely disappeared which is good to know.

Atlantis - Rodney kissed Carson!! OMG!! OK, kinda not really, but still. Squee!!! David Hewlett is an amazing actor. Those parts where he was Cadman were great. Loved the little changes in him. And then flirting with Carson was great. And can he just wear the shirt unzipped like that all time? Please? And I'm really happy Paul MacGillion was made a regular this season. Beckett is such a great guy that I'm really happy we get to see him every week. Even thought we pretty much saw him every week last year. :-) So, yeah. This was just a huge fangirl epsiode for a lot of people and Squeeeee!!!!!!!!! :-D

Now, moving on to QAF. It's over. I can't belive it's been 13 weeks. And I just found it and now it's gone. But, thank God for Netflix. Anyone now when S5 will be out? :-) So, the main thing in this ep was all the Brian/Justin stuff. As much as I wanted them to end up together and as happy as that would have made me. I totally understand why Justin had to leave. blacksatinrose has a really nice commentary/essay/discussion thingy on her journal. And I pretty much agree with everything she had to say. It really is like the series has come full circle from Season 1, but everyone has grown up. Brian is totally not the same person he was when the series started. Sure, he's still at Babylon. But, he was able to admit that he Loved someone and wanted to be with him. He's not drinking and doing all the drugs that he used to. He's not constantly tricking any more. I'm sure he'll keep up his reputation somewhat, but I don't think it will be to the extent it was before. And I really like how they left the show open. Life continues for all of them, we just don't get to see it anymore. Which is how I think things should end. The only thing I wish we had that we didn't was some sort of parting shot of Justin. He was there with Brian and then he gone. Nothing too much, just a short little thing of him getting on the plane or arriving in NY. Something. I think. And that final scene between Brian & Justin.... Guh. OMG. Broken heart. So beautiful and so sad and so lovely and emotional. It was just everything they were to each other in that moment. And is it just me, or did it look like Brian was trying really hard not to cry as they were saying "good-bye"?
