OMG! The Rob Thomas concert was like the greatest thing ever. Definitely top three along with U2 and Billy Joel/Elton John. I sooooooooo should have brought our digital camera. But I'm always afraid they're gonna take it away or something. I did get a disposable camera, so I will hopefully have some pics later in the week to share.

Anna Nalick opened. She was very very cool. I think I might have a bit of a girl-crush on her now. :-) She played for about 45 minutes. She must have been a dance at some point in her life cos she was walking around on her toes and curtseying(?) all over the place. She threw in a few arabesques and a pique pot de bouree as well. Not that that means anything to any of you.

Moving on. Then, the moment had arrived. ROB THOMAS WAS ON STAGE!!!!!!!!!!!! He opened with Something To Be. Played some other songs. Did EVer the Same and When the Heartache Ends back to back. LOVED IT!! Yeah, I'm gonna have to vid WTHE now. I think I might just have to vid his whole album. Then they brought out the piano for him to play during a few songs. It was set a little farther back on the stage than he had been standing when just singing. So, he started this improptu little ditty about "So far away, I can't see. You're so far away..." It went on for a few minutes and was so great. That was a moment when I totally wanted my digital camera cos it takese video, too! I am such an idiot!! Oh, well. Then about mid-way through, they did a totally kick ass cover of David Bowie's Let's Dance. It was seriously so very cool. He also did Smooth and some MB20 stuff. He brought Anna back out for a duet, but he kind of called her out before she was really ready and they started to do Cindy Lauper's Time After Time, but she didn't know all the words, so they stopped that. Then she said that when she was in school she would listen to him on the radio and dream about singing Push with him. So he said OK. But he needed a different guitar. So, they did another song first (I can't remember now, crap) and then she came back out and they did Push and it was great. I had the best time.

But, one kinda bad thing (not about the show, but after). I was wearing my black knee high boots last night. So not made for walking. And today, my shin splints are acting up. Which is a VERY BAD THING as I still have 8 Nutcracker performances to go this weekend and a rehearsal tomorrow night. So, I'm going to be doing as little walking as I can today and tomorrow. Grr. This sucks.
