So, I think I officially CANNOT stand the DJ/MS Thunk Thread anymore. It's all spam and people whining about how no one visits their ship thread anymore. OMG. No one goes to my AU Daniel/Sam thread now. Do I care? No. It was fun while it lasted. And people are soooooooo post crazy it's ridiculous. When did the point of the thread change to see who can get the most posts first? I dunno. I can't take it anymore. Which sucks cos I miss talking to some of the people on there (like Ronja and folk). But I don't know. I took like 3 or 4 months off and just came back to it a couple weeks ago. And already I'm just sick of it. And ya know what? During the time I was gone, I didn't feel like I was "missing" anything. But it's OK. Cos all y'all are over here now, anyway. :-) And this is a much nicer place to be. ((HUGGLES FLIST))

EDIT: I think this is my most popular post ever. I'm kinda proud of myself. :-)

The one on OS, you mean? (it's the only one I can think of) Yes, I mock the "kewtness" also, but then, I almost never go in there unless it's the first thread to pop up due to a recent post.

That forum has dragged quite a bit recently. Not as many people post as did even three years ago - and, if you're like me and don't really like Vala that much in conjunction with Daniel All The Time, then ... well, SOL. (as long as you don't talk about how much you dislike the new developments)

Well, another one bites the dust. The DJ/MS Thunk Thread was my refuge from OS, where I have most people on ignore, but that Loopy Mowse keeps popping up everywhere I go, and I can't stand her. She basically hijacks every thread/group she goes to.

I have to say I feel similarly. A big part of the reason I just haven't posted or even kept up in that thread in the last few months is that I just don't have TIME to read through 15 pages of the same stuff every day - especially when it's reposted pictures etc. :-( I have other stuff to do on the forum with my time.
And besides, most of the fun people are on my flist anyway! :D

"In my humble opinion Hussies are - and always have been - equal.....whether they post almost exclusively on this thread or share their posts in others ....and having a high post count merely means that you have maybe more time to post than others - my post count was phenomenally fast last year, now it has dropped off due to other commitments in real life but I still consider myself as equal as any other person on here.....

Many Hussies have contributed fabulous pieces of original work and taken the time to make special gifts for their friends....or shown a great sense of humour and ability for posting a clever quip to match pictures .....or have given us updates and new pictures and are just as much deserving in the title of Queen as anyone else in my opinion....

Just my opinion of course and I guess we're all entitled to that aren't we?...."

My computer is slow that I don't really go thru all the photos but here I felt oh my god I don't post much I think my lastest was from TT20; and the Intergalactic thread I use to run at OS I haven't posted tons of pics mainly cause computer is slow.

I've only visited the Daniel Thunk thread at GW once or twice a long, long time ago, and I didn't like it then. *g* I avoid such threads at OS, too. I don't mind being a little shallow now & then and admiring how good-looking MS is here and there, but a whole thread of that? *g* Just...no...

hehe I meant "just no" for me only. I know some people really enjoy that--or endless threads about "what's your favorite moment" or "favorite quote" or "favorite whatever..." I just find all of that very, very boring. If it's a poll, I'll vote and comment on something like that, but otherwise...it's not much of a discussion if everyone is just saying, "Remember this? Remember that?" hehe I once read a post (via metafandom about someone talking about this and how it reminded them of the Chris Farley character on SNL saying, "Remember when this happened? Remember when that happened?"

And again, I can understand why some people enjoy reminiscing. I do, too, but just not in that way. I don't mind that others enjoy it, but I usually skip those threads.

I understand how you feel. I haven't the time like I used to for posting on a regular basis at GW, and I certainly wouldn't waste my time posting about "armsies" even if I did. LOL

It is rather mean of me to laugh at the newest posters, I suppose, after all they weren't there in that thread's heyday...yet I'm not sure they would understand most of the jokes we used to so love creating and sharing. All the cuteness (or KEWTness) there lately makes me think the age level has dropped to about 15, despite what their profiles say.

All threads wax and wane in both interest and maturity. It could just be time for a new crowd to move in and get all that adoration about Danny out of their systems. Who knows...they might tire of their own baby talk and move on quicker than you think. And some may yet catch on to the idea that 25 caps in a row isn't really contributing anything. We've all spammed from time to time (ahhh...how I miss my Sam/Danny runs...LOL) but we usually tried to add some humor or a theme or something so that others could join in. I think that was the key. I'm not sure the newest posters have really caught on to the idea of interaction and real conversation.

I doubt that the thread can ever go back to what it once was. Most of us are too busy to participate like we once did. And there are other places to play at GW. :-)

Kerri, I am not suprised to see so many folks taking a hiatus from the thread. I have for a couple weeks now. It make me literally want to vomit when I read that thread. Boring and tedious. where did the fun and laughter go? I just unsubscribed from it! perhaps I'll drop in from time to time...check how things are going...
