I'M BA-ACK!!

Hello, flist!! Hope everyone had a very happy and fun New Year's celebration and that the first (almost full) week has gone well. I'm very tired. Had to get up way too early after much too little sleep to drive back. And I had to do the driving cos my hubby was not feeling well. And there was really bad fog almost all the way through Wisconsin. Fun. Not.

Anyway, I've decided that I am done with skiing. I don't get it. It's not fun for me. It's just tiring and makes me sore. I have absolutely no need to go speeding down a mountain on two very small sticks, trying not to break my neck. I only skied a day and half this time. Part of the problem was the boots. The rental place got all new equipment. Which you think would be nice. But not so much. Cos they hadn't been stretched out at all so they just killed my calves and feet. Even on the biggest settings. And then my shin splints started acting up. No more skiing for me. Oh, darn.

But, this did give me time to work on my....latest video!! It's Stargate. Got the first rough cut done. Took me three days just to rip all the clips (over 90. Oy). But, it'll be good. I already love it. I hope you will, too.

KERRI!!!!!!!! (((HUGS))) Glad to see that you are back safe and sound and didn't break your neck on the ski slopes. Skiing isn't all it's cracked up to be, snowboarding is WAAAAYYY more fun. Bigger stick.

I have similar feelings about skiing. I tried once, and was very bad at it, and I wasn't entirely comfortable with the concept to begin with, so never again, I said.

I had said I wasn't going to ski this year. But it seems kind of silly to go all the way up there and not ski at all. But, yeah, this was the last year. I'm not one of those thrill seeking people. Don't do roller coasters or any of that stuff.
