Remember how I said I had that wig I was going to use for Nutcracker? Well, we have a rehearsal today so I figured I would try it out to make sure it would work before the dress rehearsal. Well, guess what? It doesn't work. If I could just wear it straight down, it would be fine. But since it needs to be in an up do, and a period one at that, it just doesn't work. Since it's a cheaper wig, the edges aren't clean and they all stick out and my hairline is fairly low, so that sticks out from under the wig. Ugh. Now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do....

Well that just sucks! Is there a way you can buy a slightly more expensive wig? Or will the people running the play front the money, since obviously you don't have enough time to grow your hair out for the part. Or maybe they can just let you wear your hair done? That just totally sucks. (((HUGS)))

No, no money for a good wig. Can't do hair down, must be in period style. I went to the mall and picked up a new hair piece like the one I've used in the past but in blonde. So, I'll just be doing what I did in years past. It just sucks cos it takes like AN HOUR to do my hair and we have to be at the theater at 8:15 am, which means I need to leave here at 7:15, which means I need to get up at like 5:30 if not earlier in order to have time to do everything to get ready. Ugh.

The sacrifices you make for your art. But just think of the emphasis on culture and dedication to something you love you will pass on to your children. Seriously, Ry dated a ballet dancer and he was talking about some of the hardships she would go through for her love of the dance. You get major props from me if his stories are anything to go by.

Oh, yeah. No doubt about it, the stories are true. And I'm not even a professional! LOL
