The First David Job
Feb. 18th, 2009 09:45 amI hate To Be Continued. Don't Continue. Just keep going!! LOL Though, luckily, this wasn't as bad a cliffhanger as I've seen before. I still wanna know what happens now!!!
So, yeah, how awesome was this episode? It was amazing. It was everything the show has been leading up to til this point and they really pulled it out. Everything was spot on. Really just amazing.
Though there is one thing that's slightly confusing me - didn't we meet Maggie in The Miracle Job? Wasn't that woman with the priest in the beginning Nate's ex-wife? Or does Nate have two ex-wives? Hopefully John will answer that question in his blog as I noticed a couple other people asking about it over there, too.
It was great having
Loved that end shot of them all walking away from each other. Hearkens back to the pilot. Which is always nice to see.
Eliot getting his ass kicked was amusing. But I'm kind of glad that happened. Shows he's not some Superman that can do anything.
I liked how Nate & Sophie used Alec and Parker to trick Stirling and get away. It was true what Nate said - Sterling knows how they think. So, they needed to think like someone else.
The impromptu theft by Parker was awesome. And poor Hardison all confused and flustered. ((HUGS)) And Parker is just completely clueless about all that.
Next Tuesday cannot come soon enough!!

Date: 2009-02-18 04:28 pm (UTC)I had been thinking lately that they always win. Seeing each one of them get caught/beaten/have their asses handed to them on silver platters, etc was nice to finally see. I suppose technically they still "won" since they all got away in the end, but they are in a whole lot of trouble.
I am saddened that there is only one episode left. When does the next season start? Two weeks from now, right? *whimper*

Date: 2009-02-18 05:31 pm (UTC)I just rewatched the begining of The Miracle Job. They have Maggie calling Nate, but when the gal is walking with the priest, he never calls her Maggie. So....
I have to say last night's episode was really good. I can't wait to se how they get out of this mess.

Date: 2009-02-18 06:37 pm (UTC)Kari Matchett is a fabulous choice for Maggie though. It was great to see her interacting with Tim Hutton again.
Burn Notice reunion RITE??? Now, if only we can get Michael Westen to pop onto Leverage... The crossover that will never happen, BUT DEAR GOD WE CAN DREAM
Eliot getting his ass kicked was TRAGIC. TRAGIC. It was PAINFUL to watch. ;_; But I agree that it was great to see the team getting bested, because they can't win ALL the time. Even though they will, eventually, for this one, because, you know, the show has a season two. :D

Date: 2009-02-18 06:45 pm (UTC)SOMEONE NEEDS TO WRITE THIS!!! Not even joking, this would be an epic crossover of awesomeness.
It was good to see the team knocked down a peg, even if we do know they'll get back up. But, who knows? Maybe they won't. Maybe this season will end with them all broken and beaten and trying to get something back. And there's the set-up for season 2... :-D

Date: 2009-02-18 06:47 pm (UTC)The Church Girl in The Miracle Job was DB Sweeney's assistant, not a previous version of Maggie. There's no way we'd introduce Maggie and then not have a scene between she and Nate. Also, she's inappropriately young. C'mon, Nate Ford doesn't roll that way.
Hahahaha.
As for BN x-over, ahda;fdjasklfsd I KNOW, somebody totally needs to write it.
