My husband called our cable company to let them know that we might be leaving for their competitor as we could get more channels for a lower price with them. Well, they decided to match their price AND throw in free DVR and HBO! Woohoo! I think I might need to catch up on True Blood. Anything else on HBO worth watching?

The only show I can think of on HBO was Rome, but I think that one is no longer running. Now if you were asking about Showtime I'd say The Tudors and naturally Dexter.

*sigh* I wish I could afford premium channels because there are some really good shows on them.

:-D I'm very excited. I've been wanting DVR for awhile. And now we get it while everything's on hiatus. *rolls eyes* Oh, well. Gives me plenty of time to get used to it.

Got DVR, don't have the premium channels. I have heard that True Blood is AWESOME and definitely want to find some time to watch it (whenever that magical free time happens). Also, if you can get Rome On Demand, WATCH IT!! I own both seasons on DVD and it is PHENOMENAL! I can't say enough about how awesome the show is.

I'm not much of an HBO girl, but I agree with everyone else and saying True Blood. Also, I personally love love love Entourage.

I love my DVR, we have Cox so we also have on demand and that is awesome since we also have Showtime and they release the shows to on demand a week early. Honestly I think the shows are worth the ten bucks a month for Sho (Dexter, Tudors, and Nurse Jackie) On HBO I am in love with True Blood of course and also Big Love is great, although it doesn't seem to run in decently spaced seasons. It seems like there is a year between season.

And totally off topic but since we seem to like a lot of the same shows. Did you like Eureka on Sci-Fi? It had been canceled and then brought back and then canceled again, but then they brought it back it will start in mid July, they need to give up and just let it stay.

Also random fact I got in a text from Burn Notice. In the last episode Jeffery was the one actually using the water drill, he had been a welder and so he was comfortable with it and got to use it. Not sure if you get the texts or not but you are the only one I know who would I guess appreciate that one. (for lack of a better term)

I wasn't really a big fan of Eureka. Some episodes were OK, and I would sometimes watch it if nothing else was on. But, it was never on top of my list.

I do not get the Burn Notice texts. That's kind of cool about Jeffrey. He's a multi-talented man! :-)
