...and went to the mall to buy new jeans. I've still been wearing my maternity clothes for the last three weeks and just finally had enough. I want real clothes that fit. So, the new jeans are two sizes bigger than my usual, but that's OK. They fit and I can wear my regular clothes again and that's the important thing. :-) I've lost a good portion of the weight I gained when pregnant but I still have another 15 or so pounds to go to get back to my pre-preggo weight. I still haven't been given the clear to start exercising by the doctor yet. That's OK, too. We have lots of stairs and I've lost all of what I have just walking around the house and up the stairs for diaper changes. :-) I'll get there. Eventually...

I'm still the exact same weight I was 2 weeks after Griffin was born - I just can't shift those last 3 kilos and suspect I never will. Unless I get off my butt and do some exercise, that is, LOL. But I've found that even if you lose the weight, you still end up a different shape. It's weird.

Yeah, I think even if I lose the weight, my hips are just wider than they were before. It doesn't bother me too much, it would just be annoying to have to go out and buy all new pants.

Oh, I know! I'm resisting getting new work ones, but my old ones are really cutting me across the hips. I actually wore a pair of my old maternity pants the other day and was so much more comfortable, LOL.

I did manage to squeeze myself into one of my old pairs of jeans last night, just to see. Man, it was painful and I really didn't want to try and sit down in them. LOL

That's pretty good going! I barely manage to get mine over my hips. I really do need to do some exercise. I got down to 47.5 kilos when hubby was sick (the silver lining of stress) but am now up to 48.6 again. *sigh*

They could be. During childbirth your pelvis actually spreads open to allow the baby to pass.

Yup. I had read that. Wasn't sure as to the extent it would stay. But even if I should get my "old figure" back, it's nice in the meantime to have clothes that fit. :-)
