Because it seems no matter where I go, I get in car accidents. Ugh.

Don't worry, we're all fine. This was a really minor fender bender at the gas station. I was sitting at the pump and the car in front of me decided to back up, for some reason. No damage that's visible at least. Just a little denting on the license plate frame. But since the other driver(s) didn't speak English too well, I ended up calling the cops cos I couldn't really figure out if they had insurance. They did, but no driver's license. How does that work? Anyway, I ended up not running the errands I needed to run and just came home. Hubby is going to try and come home early.

It's just...really? This makes 5 accidents in the 14 years I've been driving. Only one was maybe my fault, but most likely not. This is just getting annoying...

ETA: And while I was waiting for the police to arrive, I'm pretty sure I witnessed the tail end of a bank robbery and a possible car crash that ended it. There's a bank right across the street and two police cars went screeching into the parking lot. Then tearing out a few minutes later. Then 2 more police cars flew by along with an ambulance. Then the traffic on the main road started completely backing up. I think I'll be stalking the online local news sites for info...

Glad you're okay!!
I think (equally important to insurance cards) THIS is why one should have a badger (or some other pesky vermin of choice) in the glove compartment at all times. It hasn't so much happened to me, but my hubs in a magnet for idiot drivers. (Insurance seems to be optional...) One even fled the scene. Why? No insurance OR license. *shakes head*

I really do seem to attract the idiots. This accident I only called the cops as the other driver and her companion barley spoke English and I wanted to make sure I got all the information I needed if there was damage. The last accident was a guy visiting from India who was driving a rental car.

I think the icing on the cake for us was the THIRD time hubs got rear-ended in his truck. Big honkin brand new SUV with brush guard just hit the gas behind him and *SMACK* Her excuse? She thought he was going. The kicker? The light was RED. No one was hurt but sheesh... You wonder sometimes.

Oh, good lord. Really? Man, people are just way too distracted and stupid in cars nowadays.

It's good you're oki. AND HOW EXCITING. A BANK ROBBERY. \O/

I don't have a license at all. I can't separate where my eyes look from where my hands turn. It's depressing. And yet not because I prefer being chauffeured and having my shoes off, feet up when in cars.

LOL I have to check the news to see if that's what really happened. Even if not, I might keep telling myself it did cos it's so exciting! :-)

I used to enjoy being a passenger. But after my second accident (it was pretty bad), I'm just way too nervous not being in the driver's seat. I'm OK with my husband, but anyone else, I have to drive.

Me too. I'm gonna tell people that my friend was involved in the arrest of bank robbers who turned out to be spies.

I'd probably enjoy it more if I could sleep while driving.
AND CRAP. That's a lot of accidents, bb.

:-D I iz famous! LOL

Had my first accident my senior year in high school, driving to school. With one of my fellow students. That was fun. At least my dad was still on the police force when it happened so he came by and helped calm me down.

Glad you are ok :) Just think of the bright side...maybe it was to make sure you didn't end up on the street at the same time the car chase/crash happened...

I thought that! If I had actually stopped at the first gas station (all the pumps were full) I probably would have been in the general area of that crash when it happened.

Other drivers worry me. The fact that they will do things like randomly backup, for no apparent reason, and hit your vehicle is just mind boggling. O_o I had a similar incident in the Walmart parking lot just a few weeks ago. Some women randomly backed up about 6 parking spot widths into my car. Luckily no damage, but it sure pissed me off. Glad your okay and the damage was minor. *hugs*

There really was no reason for them to back up. However, after interacting with them, I got the feeling she maybe didn't know what she was doing.

Wow, that's... just crazy. Insurance but no driver's license?

*hugs* I'm glad you're okay. And I totally know how you feel. I've been driving about 15 years and I've had at least that many accidents, maybe a few more. Most of them weren't my fault, but about 5 years ago I had an accident that totalled my old car. I just felt awful about it.

Yeah, I don't get it either. And since it happened on private property, they didn't even get ticketed. *rolls eyes*
