OK. I'm just never going to drive again.
Apr. 7th, 2010 04:01 pmBecause it seems no matter where I go, I get in car accidents. Ugh.
Don't worry, we're all fine. This was a really minor fender bender at the gas station. I was sitting at the pump and the car in front of me decided to back up, for some reason. No damage that's visible at least. Just a little denting on the license plate frame. But since the other driver(s) didn't speak English too well, I ended up calling the cops cos I couldn't really figure out if they had insurance. They did, but no driver's license. How does that work? Anyway, I ended up not running the errands I needed to run and just came home. Hubby is going to try and come home early.
It's just...really? This makes 5 accidents in the 14 years I've been driving. Only one was maybe my fault, but most likely not. This is just getting annoying...
ETA: And while I was waiting for the police to arrive, I'm pretty sure I witnessed the tail end of a bank robbery and a possible car crash that ended it. There's a bank right across the street and two police cars went screeching into the parking lot. Then tearing out a few minutes later. Then 2 more police cars flew by along with an ambulance. Then the traffic on the main road started completely backing up. I think I'll be stalking the online local news sites for info...

Date: 2010-04-07 11:38 pm (UTC)I don't have a license at all. I can't separate where my eyes look from where my hands turn. It's depressing. And yet not because I prefer being chauffeured and having my shoes off, feet up when in cars.

Date: 2010-04-08 01:02 am (UTC)I used to enjoy being a passenger. But after my second accident (it was pretty bad), I'm just way too nervous not being in the driver's seat. I'm OK with my husband, but anyone else, I have to drive.

Date: 2010-04-08 01:41 am (UTC)I'd probably enjoy it more if I could sleep while driving.
AND CRAP. That's a lot of accidents, bb.

Date: 2010-04-08 01:56 am (UTC)Had my first accident my senior year in high school, driving to school. With one of my fellow students. That was fun. At least my dad was still on the police force when it happened so he came by and helped calm me down.
