Leverage Season 2 Premiere Party
Jul. 9th, 2009 12:03 pmThe Leverage season 2 premiere is AWESOME!! You all are going to love it. I’m not gonna say anything else about the episode cos I don’t want to spoil anything. But it’s REALLY GOOD. It’s funny, it’s got action, it’s got an awesome con. It’s what the show does best! LOL I will say that there was like an opening title sequence kind of thing. It was more character based than “Featuring Timothy Hutton as Nathan Ford” kind of thing. So I’m not sure if it’s something that just in the season premiere for new people. But it was pretty cool.
The hotel the screening was at is actually brand new. So it was very nice and everything. After checking in everyone got a t-shirt. It’s just a plain white shirt with “Sometimes bad guys make the best good guys” in green on the front. And the Leverage logo small on the back up by the neck. Meh, it’s OK. I’ll take it to Indiana. It’s a good bumming t-shirt. Then they had some trivia questions. I won a Saving Grace t-shirt. Again, nothing special. Good bumming shirt. Oh, the question was “In addition to being an expert thief this team member is also an accomplished gymnast.” Which is, of course, Parker. But I couldn’t help thinking “Parker’s not a gymnast. She’s a ninja!” You rewatch folks will get that. ;-)
Then after the episode we had a Q&A over Skype with John Rogers and Chris Downey – co-creators and executive producers. They are very funny guys. I’ll put this behind a cut cos it’ll get long. There are also some VERY MINOR spoilers for season 2. The only really spoilery thing was in relation to the most recent guest star casting. If you heard about that, then this isn’t spoilery. And if that casting made you nervous at all in any way, read what they had to say and you will be fine with it. Definitely took some concern off my mind about what might be happening. I’ll put a spoiler warning before that question to you can read the rest and glance over that, if you want.

Then at the end a woman mentioned she was going to be in Portland in September and could she see them filming anywhere? Well, John told her to give her e-mail to the guys that were in charge there and they would let her know! How cool is that? BTW, the wrap filming on September 11. So if you’re interested in heading out there, don’t wait. After John’s response my husband then turned to me and said “Wanna go to Portland this summer?” Um, YES PELASE! So, I think we’re trying to work out a weekend we can go! How awesome would that be?!?!
