OH.MY.GOD.

It was awful. Like, just really, really terrible. I didn't have the highest hopes going into it, but I was maybe hoping it would be so awful it circled back around to awesome again. But, no. It was just... ugh, bad.

And my main reason for seeing it, Michael Shanks, was only in it for about ten minutes before HE DIED! Of course. Apparently Michael can't live through anything he does. LOL

I will admit, the ending was a surprise. So, there was that at least.

But in the end, not worth it. Just wait for it to come out on DVD in a couple months.

Yeah. Then once Michael is dead you can just stop the movie and not put yourself through the rest of it. ;-)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one, hon. I was debating over whether or not to see it. Like you Michael would have been my main draw for seeing it. But seeing as how he wasn't in it long and then was killed off (*snort*) I think I'll wait for the DVD.

Yeah. Once he died I was like, "Well, movies over." LOL I was reading some reviews just to see how bad it might be and someone said that it made Twilight look like Casablanca. Well, I've never seen Casablanca, but after seeing how bad this was, I would have to agree.

So disappointing. :-(

Hey, I have to respectfully disagree, lol. I saw it last night and thought it was a ton of fun. Granted, I didn't even know Shanks was in it, so he wasn't the main draw for me, but I definitely enjoyed it. I'm not saying it wasn't bad but I thought it was awesomely bad. And I loved the visual look of it, like some demented cross between Disney fairy tale animation, a renaissance fair and an old-school soundstage film.

For me, it wasn't even bad enough to be awesomely bad. I think they could have pushed it a little more and just really gone over the top and then it would have been awesomely bad. It just took itself too seriously for me.

But, meh. Different strokes and all that... ;-)

Definitely! At least we can agree Shanks's costume looked like he stole it from the SG-1 season 9 premiere when he and Vala accidentally met the Ori for the first time right? My friend and I had a ball of a time pointing out funny coincidences like how certain actors have been in other films about werewolves, etc.
