So, I think most Glee fans know by now that The Warblers as heard on the show are actually The Beelzebubs from Tufts University. Now, the guys that portray The Warblers can actually sing and they've recorded a song!! It's an a capella version of Fireflies by Owl City and is pretty awesome. Take a listen:

The guy singing lead is supposedly the tall guy that normally does the beatbox stuff on the show. So, yeah. I'm like really excited to hear their track from the Barbara Streisand thing on The Warblers album now. :-)

It's really good! And I'm not even really a fan of the original song, but it seems The Warblers can get me to LOVE music I normally hate. LOL

I'll be stopping by Target or Best Buy for sure the day it's released. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!!!

I think I enjoyed the original version, but like, I never downloaded or anything.

If you put the Warbler name on it, I'm pretty much garanteed to like it. :D

HEE, I ordered mine from Amazon, so it should be waiting for me when I get home, LOL.

I wasn't going to get it at first - I already have all but three of the songs...but I like to buy cd's for 'nostalgia' with somethings, and I mentioned it to my husband (and Amazon had it for 10.99 and we get free shipping), so he bought it for me.

It's one of those songs that if I was flipping around the radio, I might stop on it if there was nothing else on. But it's just not really high on my general musical genre likes.

Tangent, but most of the music on Glee is not really stuff I listen to at all. Hate Britney Spears, hate Rhianna, hate Lady Gage, hate Ke Dollar Sign Ha, hate Bieber, etc. I like the musical and old school stuff - Signing in the Rain, The Beatles stuff they've done. But probably 75% of the music is not stuff I listen to. I would say I probably have the most in common musically with Puck. When he did Fat Bottom Girls? Now THAT'S my kind of music. ;-) Anyway......

Yeah, if it says "by The Warblers" I'll pretty much be all over it. LOL

I have all the songs, too, but, um, not *cough*legally*cough*. So, I kind of want to buy this CD so I can have all their stuff legally and show my support in some small way. :-)

Yeah, that's about how I feel about it.

Umm, I'm a little more in the middle. I love the older songs (every time they do The Beatles, I get excited), but I do like some of the new stuff they did. I'm not into Britney (except the occasional song), Gaga (I like exactly two of her songs), Rhianna's okay, I can take or leave Ke$ha (LMAO @ the way you spelled it), the stuff from the musicals is awesome. I did the happy dance when I saw they were doing Take Me or Leave Me from Rent.

I have the same *cough*legal*cough* issue. So this is me supporting Darren and Chris and the rest of the guys.

I am very like you. And I find it mildly disturbing how many times I've listened to Teenage Dream just because of Darren.
