Movie & TV Round Up
X-Men: First Class
Holy awesome movie, Batman. As we were leaving the theater I turned to my friend and said, "I want to see that again." Just fantastic.
OMG. Could the Charles/Erik have been any more obvious? My goodness. I need some recs. Like, right now. Please, if you have any, toss them my way. :-)
Leverage
Yay!!!!!! Leverage is back!!!!!
I LOVED the season premiere. It may have been the best episode of Leverage yet. Everyone was in top form and nothing felt really forced or out of place.
Parker made my cry. A lot. That scene in the cave with Eliot where she was all, "I want to do the right thing!" Oh, Parker. She's grown so much since the pilot. It's really fantastic to see.
The season arc that they set-up also seems promising. I think we all knew at some point the bad guys they've gone after would try and track them down to get their own back. It'll be interesting to see who it ends up being (or possibly more than one?) and what the team does to escape it. Will they be moving out of Boston? *shrug*
Falling Skies
I'm quite impressed, I must say at this point. It definitely has my attention. I like the fact that it kind of started off in the middle of the story. The aliens are already here and have pretty well conquered us. A lot of previous series always just dealt with the arrival and taken it from there. This whole trying to figure out how to move on and survive is an interesting way to go. And Colin is a total bad ass, which I love. :-)
White Collar, Burn Notice & Suits
Lumping all the USA shows in one. :-)
Loving White Collar so far. The Peter/Neal is totally epic and the boys looked so hot in their tuxes this week. The Nazi art is providing a nice conflict. I wonder if Neal is ever going to tell Peter about it or not. Part of me wants him to, part of me doesn't. I guess we'll find out.
So, Michael's pretty much back in his old job. Though, I'm fairly certain his contact/handler guy is up to something. Not the office dude, the guy that he's in the field with whose name I cannot remember at the moment. Not sure about the Jesse development. I guess we'll have to see how they handle it.
I'm enjoying the new show Suits. Mostly casually, at this point. There seems to be potential for a lot of redundant storylines at the moment (yes, he's a pothead, etc). But it's nice to see Gina Torres back on TV. She's pretty kick ass. So, I'll give this one a few more eps before making up my mind for sure.

I liked when Eliot told Parker that climbing a mountain was different than climbing a building, "You don't see avalanches on buildings, do you?" "No, but that would be awesome!"
Liking Falling Skies and Suits as well. Agree they could easily fall into a rut, but they both have some potential.

And I'm liking falling skies too. The direction the relationships are going to go in are kind of painfully obvious, but other than that, it's awesome. The aliens are creepy, and the whole harness thing has me interested. And of course, how awesome is Colin? And surprise, he cooks.
One completely random thing that bothers me is that the blonde girl looks soooo familiar. I've seen her in something, like, recently, but I looked up her imdb and there was nothing that made me go 'ah-HA!' Oh well.

I love El wanting to get the prom picture. They posed together. :D Love the shameless slashy moments in White Collar.
I think his name is max. You're talking about Grant Show, right? It was a good ep. I love when Madeline has more of a role. Sharon's great.
Michael and Fi moving in together. Yay!

Falling Skies: I agree with you, I love how they opened it up- just put you in the middle and you had to listen to figure out what happened. And I have to admit that I didn't recognize Colin until tonight's episode, he looks so different! LOL
White Collar: yes, they did look awesome in the tux's! And during the "fight" I wonder how much of what they said both of them had been wanting to say to the other since day one (if that makes any sense) ;)
