switch842Yesterday, we had the annual New Year's Day gathering at the aunt-in-law's house. Hubby's family certainly have a lot of gatherings. But, they're a large family so I guess it's what they do.
Anyway, at one point we started talking about my impending trip to New York (18 days!!!) and how I'm just going by myself, etc. etc. One of the cousins had mentioned possibly trying to come with me for a few days, but that's probably not going to work out. So, then my mother-in-law piped up, "I could come with you."

Um, no. I love her, honestly, she's great and under any other circumstances, I probably wouldn't mind. But, um, no way is my mother-in-law going to crash my Darren Criss Fangirl Weekend of Squee. I am 32 years old, I think I'll be okay. :-)
