This is a post about The Warblers.

Leaving aside Sebastian for the moment, I can't even say I'm that mad at the rest of The Warblers. It's clear to me, that watching their reactions and what they had to say when Sebastian let them talk that something has happened and they are so scared of him. Whether he somehow has dirt on them and is blackmailing them or has just bullied his way into the position he's now in, something is wrong.

Throughout the episode Sebastian was "I changed the setlist", "I'm the captain" and that's not how The Warblers work. They have a council; it's not just one guy making all the decisions.

I don't think anyone would argue that while Blaine wasn't on the council, he was probably at least second in charge after Wes and his gavel. Did him leaving just create some sort of massive power vacuum that Sebastian wormed his way into? It didn't seem that way during Uptown Girl, but Sebastian was probably still very new at that point. Just...

WHAT HAPPENED?

How did these guys go from friends who were so, so excited to see Blaine to boys who would just walk away when they see their friend writhing on the ground in agony?

I don't get it and, like, I can't even be mad at them because I'm so disappointed.

And you know they're never gonna tell us what happened because the writers see nothing wrong with character inconsistency. :-P

I agree with this 100%. I was so mad at the Warblers then I calmed down and realized I'm in the same boat as you. I'm not mad. Just HORRIBLY disappointed.

Seriously. WTF guys?

I just.... I don't get it. Other than the new writers completely ignoring everything that's been written about the Warblers prior to this episode, it makes no sense. At all. And it pisses me off that this will never get explained.

I was chatting with another friend about this and the more we chatted the more it's clear it's just lazy writing.

It really seems like the new writers have no grasp at all of the characters and makes me doubt if they've even seen any prior episodes of the show. All this character "development" is just giving me whiplash cos it all comes out of nowhere and it's making my head hurt!!

I think it's a combo of lazy writing and lazy editing - because the "I Want You Back" scene was cut, we have no idea what happened at Dalton to make everyone so aggressive. Blaine was clearly pissed at the Warblers, and Sebastian seemed more aggressive than usual too. I feel like seeing that whole sequence of events would explain how the Warblers could go from Blaine Anderson fanboys to participating in a slushie fest on Blaine's boyfriend, WHO USED TO BE THEIR FRIEND TOO. Because Blaine wasn't the intended target. *sigh*

I hope we get that scene released soon. It's gotta be more than just an issuing the challenge and watching them sing scene. Like you said, something more HAD to have happened. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS!!

Same. I get cutting the song, but did they have to cut the ENTIRE scene. Give us something to go on here.

If The Warblers were really such friends with Blaine then why did tthey participate in throwing the slushie at Kurt? He was the intended victim and they all knew Kurt is Blaine's boyfriend, so why? Sebastard must have dirt on them.

Also, Blaine's parents need to step up and file charges against that asshole. We don't even know the outcome of the surgery. I hope he'll be okay in the next ep.

EXACTLY! I doubt they had a positive view of slushies and what they were used for.

And, yeah, screw taking the higher road. That is just flat-out assault. He needs his ass thrown in jail.

I blame it on bad writing, but ultimately the responsibility on explaning to new writers about the characters must lie with somebody right? The same said top person would have to clear the episode and writing before it goes to the network right? The same person should have organised an induction process for the writers right? Just saying.

TBH I feel in terms of character development the rest of the writers that we have had this season have been A LOT more spot on than RM...

Really? Cos everything I've seen this season makes NO SENSE when compared to what we've gotten before.

Quinn's rebel punk phase? I could buy it. If it happened in season 2. It's a little late for that now.

The Finn stuff I'm okay with.

Kurt hasn't really had any.

Mercedes stuff early this season made no sense at all. She hates dancing and doesn't want to have to work in Glee club so she's goes to join the Glee club run by a woman who is infamous for having 24 hour rehearsals?

No one is making any sense to me this season.
