Leverage Summer Season Finale

The Rundown Job
OMG OMG OMG

First of all, WHAT DID THEY DO TO ELIOT'S HAIR?!?!? I know Dean has been tweeting at us jokingly over the last five seasons about how they were going to cut Eliot's hair. I didn't think they'd actually do it. :-(

But, wow, okay. That was a pretty fantastic episode. I wish we'd gotten more of Christian and Adam together, but I was just glad to see Adam back after his too brief appearance in the season premiere.

Parker and Hardison continue to be as adorable as ever. I love them. Seriously. I think Leverage might be the only show where I ship ALL the canon couples. I mean, sure, I write some Eliot/Sophie stuff and contemplating Eliot/Parker is interesting, but I do actively ship Parker/Hardison and Nate/Sophie and Eliot/Everyone Else.

Back to the episode.... Stopping a terrorist attack in a couple hours. Only The Kids. Seriously. They're fantastic. I'm sure I'm going to read John's blog entry on this and be absolutely TERRIFIED at the amount of this that is based on real life stuff, which is always a lot and I'm going to freak out thinking that this is going to happen any day now. SCARY STUFF.

The Frame-Up Job
Sterling! Always good to see Sterling back.

Again, another top notch episode. Had me guessing the whole time. Though, I did get the part about Sophie being the subject of the painting. My husband didn't believe me about that one. Ha!

NOVEMBER?? We have to wait until Novemeber? lakjsdfhawugd :-P

I was FLABBERGASTED at the haircut. I never thought it'd ever actually happen since I recall CK saying that he prefers having long hair. Since there was no plot tie-in and a surprising lack of comment about it by Parker or Hardison, I guess I have to assume CK wanted a change in his look. I wish they did write it in, since they actually made it a characterization point on how Eliot grew it out to differentiate himself from his amoral hitter days. Maybe it'll come up in the winter episodes. If CK wanted to change his look, they should take the opportunity to use it for Eliot.

With that said, after I got over my utter shock, I think I like the new haircut.

I agree. I really, really wish there had been something in the show. A passing comment from Parker or just anything to clue us in as to why this happened. Even if it was something stupid like Parker apologizing for getting a lollipop stuck in his hair. It doesn't need to be any sort of majorly huge plot point, but since it has been a large part of his character since the beginning, any kind of explanation would have been nice.

It's not a bad haircut. I do like it. It's vaguely reminiscent of his hair on Angel near the end of his run, but better. :-)

Yeah exactly, just something, especially when they've done it before. CK got a real shiner and they had a one-liner about it.

And yes! It reminded me of his hair when he came back for Angel. But better, yes.

Yeah. If they can write in the lesbian bar joke, we can get a bit about the hair.

I got a chuckle out of one of the sets of names Sophie gave when she and Stirling were interviewing people. "I'm Agent Tennant. This is Agent Smith." I.e. Doctors 10 and 11.

Eliot's hair was a little shocking, but I rather like it.

Yes! The Tennant and Smith line. Hehe.

I do like the hair too. It's just very strange after what's been going on the last four years.

It took me a second to see if Elliot had indeed gotten a haircut (Me: Did he get a hair cut? He did get a hair cut!) and while I like it, I kinda liked the long hair a bit more, but a change is nice! Also when he went to punch the guy before he got shot I started laughing at the imagined beat-down the guy was going to get but then it quickly turned into a gasp/strangled yell when he got hit in the shoulder.

I was actually afraid that they'd kill him since it was a finale, but was so glad that they didn't!

And yes, both episodes were very well done-one thing I liked in the second episode was the flashbacks with Nate "in" them, it gave us a peek into what his mind must be like when running a job and trying to figure out the mark. Also the "Tennant and Smith" line was awesome; I was waiting for a Who reference this season :D

It is a nice haircut. The shot to the shoulder totally made me gasp, too! In an odd way, it was actually kind of nice (if that's the word) to see Eliot get hit with a bullet.

Beth had tweeted a picture months back of Tim standing on the water in the pool. Needless to say, we were all o_O? Now it all makes sense. That was definitely cool. As was the Inside Hardison's Brain stuff. They're doing some cool FX for sure.
