New TV!

I've started watching some new TV shows. Some new new, others just new to me.

First - Community. How did I wait so long to watch this show. It's GENIUS! I'm about half way through season 2 and I've loved every episode so far. They even made a Stargate joke! And the guest stars/cameos? Amazing people. Love it.

Next - Go On. I've like Matthew Perry since Friends so I was excited to see him back on TV (again). I'm really liking this one. Though, I'm a little worried about the sustainability of the conceit, much like Common Law. So, we'll see.

And lastly - The New Normal. I was resisting this one for awhile sort of off the merit of everyone's over the top reaction to how AMAZING it was and how Ryan Murphy is a GENIUS. But finally I caved when I couldn't get away from it and it's okay. I like it well enough but I'm nowhere near thinking it's the greatest thing ever.

So, that's that. What else is everyone watching this fall season?

Community is just made of win. The paintball episodes are just perfection! I'm a bit wary of the new showrunners (NBC did a crap thing in firing Dan Harmon and giving it a short season) so we'll see how it goes...

I didn't like the first episode of New Normal, but completely loved the second one. I'm still on the fence about it but I'll give it a few more episodes.

I've heard some things about the Dan Harmon kerfuffle and Chevy Chase walking off set or something? I have the last two eps of season 2 to go, hoping I can maybe get through everything this week.

New Normal is fine enough. It's probably gonna be a show I'll stock up on the DVR and put on when regular TV is sucky. LOL

I don't know the details of the whole Chase thing, but the gist of it was that Harmon was giving Chase's character less and less lines/scenes and so Chase started to throw diva fits and he even left a nasty phone message that was leaked to the press. But since Harmon left I'm not sure where things stand with that.

But I'm glad that you're enjoying the show!
