Insurance Companies Suck
Mar. 8th, 2011 12:33 pmThis may possibly be TMI. Feel free to skip. I just need to rant.
So, I've had like gross, thick toenails for awhile now. I've tried every topical over the counter treatment and nothing works. So, I finally got fed up and went to see my doc today since one of the nails now has some weird black spots on it. Figured that wasn't a good thing. They were going to call in a prescription for the Lamisil antibiotic pill or whatever it is. It's three months of medication, but it should clear everything up. Well, our insurance won't cover the name brand OR generic. Seriously? WTF? Not covering the generic? You guys suck. I called Walgreen's to see if I could get the price to see how bad it would be without the coverage. The generic is $69.99 per month. I need three months of pills. Awesome. However, the slightly good news is that Walgreen's has a Prescription Club thing. It's a $20 one time fee and then prescriptions are only $10. So, it's probably still doable. But, I stand at Insurance Companies Suck.
