But I am seriously, like, in complete awe that I am now "friends" with riverfox. I've admired your fics for so long, that it sometimes boggles my mind that, like, we talk and comment and have "conversations." And now I'm going to get to meet you in a month!!

Does anyone else ever have these thoughts? Like, through LJ or Gateworld or some other fan-site you become friends with people you admire? Or am I the only freak? LOL :-D

First off.....LOVE the lappy Kerri!!...

Yes I can understand your excitement.....I am so grateful for the internet enabling me to meet up with the Senior Hussies last year in Vancouver.....real solid friendships have come out of that and there are so many of them whose artistic talents I totally admire.....I'm Seshat's biggest fangirl and Sue is my kindred "slash spirit"....(and she sends me lovely art too!...)...On another level in another on-line life it's enabled me to see bands I'd never have dreamed of seeing 10 years ago and led me to meet people like Tom McRae (who is a hero of mine because of his amazing songwriting talent) and the guys from Keane....

I'm so glad you're going to meet riverfox.... I've also been a great admirer of her work for ages....she's the only writer who can make me love another character as much as my OTP Jack and Daniel....her Jason is just gorgeous and utterly sexy and I'm going to have to restrain myself a lot when I come face to face with Steve Bacic in Vancouver next month!....

I can't wait to meet up with you....I think it's going to be a very fun filled Con!....

I'm totally with you on the Steve thing.

The internet can really be an amazing place. I've made so many friends through LJ and GW. And I'm really so excited to meet everyone in Vancouver. It's really one of the main reasons I decided to go. It's gonna be such a blast!!
