I see how it goes....

So, this weekend I was all BLECH about the whole weight loss thing, so I kind of protested by not exercising. I did take the little guy on a couple walks, so I wasn't completely sedentary. I ate pretty much the same way I have been. Though I did break down and grab some Burger King when I was out running errands on Saturday. I did want to see if I could get one of those Twilight game pieces and win a new car (I AM NOT A TWILIGHT FAN!!). Anyway, I guess I didn't order the right size value meal cos I didn't get a game piece.

But anyway, the point is, I do all this and I am down 3 pounds. WTF?

Now, I know that muscle weighs more than fat and all that. But there's no way I was building muscle that fast or that much so that my weight wasn't changing. So, I don't know. I think I'll continue this walking thing for awhile (maybe doing some crunches) and see what happens....

Actually, it depends on what kind of exercise you were doing. When you exercise - esp muscle building exercises, the tissue floods itself with fluid so that it can heal and rebuild bigger than before. It isn't uncommon for your weight to stay the same on the scale because of it - esp if you've just recently started exercising. So, you probably just gave yourself enough time for it to flood with fluid, rebuild and then release the extra fluid. ;P Pain in the ass this exercise stuff, isn't it?! Go by measurements or the way your clothes are fitting, as it is more accurate.

....what? Stupid, glittering vampires aren't your thing?! LOL

I think I understand what you're saying, but I don't think that would really explain my situation. I would exercise in the afternoon and weigh myself first thing in the morning. So, there was a good 16 hours between the two activities. Which I would think would be enough time for my body to "reset" itself. That's why I've always been told to that your weight first thing in the morning is the most accurate. And anyway, my clothes weren't really fitting any better, either...
