So, I have a Creative Zen mp3 player. When I got my new laptop I went to install the software that goes along with it. Not so surprising, it's not compatible with Windows 7. Not a big deal, my old laptop still works, I'll just keep it installed on there for awhile until I can find a fix or update. So, I go to the Creative website and after A LOT of digging, I find a DL that is supposed to update the software to be compatible with Win7. Awesome! I DL and attempt to install.

Here's where things get awesome.

The DL is an update to the existing software. I cannot install the current software as it's not compatible with Win7, so I can't install the fix as there is no software for it to update.

What. The Fuck.

How does that make sense? Oy...

Guess I'll just ask hubby later if I can install it on our server that's still XP.

I didn't even think of the compatibility mode thing. I may have to check that out later...

"I finally got my MP3 player to work with the computer by downloading the Creative Centrale software. It's the same software program that comes with Zen's new Xi-Fi 2 MP3 player. I don't recall updating my my drivers or anything like that. The software just automatically recognized my Zen."
