Thank you to whoever sent me the Holiday Cookies! They are truly scrumptious and put me in the mood to do some baking!

Sadly, I did not do any baking tonight. I did, however, color my hair. The gray situation was getting out of control and I can sadly no longer afford to get my color done at the salon. So, back to home dying it is. If anyone's interested it's this color. I had some reddish low-lights already in my hair, so I didn't want to attempt to go lighter and turn my hair orange. It looks OK, a little more red than I was expecting, but that'll probably fade as red does. But, meh. Whatever. Once this is done, I'll probably go a little more blonde as that's what I prefer.

So, yeah. That was my night. How's y'all's going? ;-)

I've been trying to decide what to do with the gray situation myself. It's so crap that men can get away with it and often look damn hot with it - points at icon - but women are expected to hide it. I would go to the salon, but yeah expensive. I always make such an arse of home dye kits though - missing bits at the back etc etc - plus there are still some highlights in my hair that are growing out and I'd hate for them to turn green or something. I'm also tempted to go for some crazy colour but I'm way too lazy to maintain that. Ah the trials and tribulations of being female!

Maybe if I was a little older, I wouldn't mind the gray so much, but I'm only 31!! That's way too young to have gray hair. LOL

If you can find a friend to help with the home dying, it's not so bad. They can see in the back and get the spots you might miss. You could also try just a highlighting kit, first. They have these shower cap things with holes punched in them that you pull pieces of hair through to color, That way you're not doing your whole head and it's easier to get all those pieces.

Anyway, good luck whatever you decide! :-)

I hear you. I'm only 30. Then again my friend's sister is a good 4 years younger and already has a lot of grey *shrugs*.

Unfortunately I don't have any friends that live nearby enough for regular dying but that highlighting kit might just be the answer as I only have a few greys on top. They tend to stand out because I have medium brown hair. Thanks for the tip!
