The Unwarbled Tour

Expanding on my tumblr post from earlier...

Here's what I said:

All The Warblers need to get together and go on tour where they do their own music. Luke & Jon & Matt & Brock & Riker & Curt & Titus & everyone doing what they love. Wouldn’t that be awesome? We can call it The Unwarbled Tour. How can we make that happen?

The more I think about this, the more I want this to happen. I just have no idea where to even start trying to organize anything like this.

But, seriously. This could be so successful. They have a TON of fans. The Warblers really are like rock stars now. There are plenty of decent sized clubs out there that aren't huge and that wouldn't have super expensive ticket prices. And after seeing the little mini-Warblers concert that happens in the middle of the Glee Live tour and the fans response to them, it's amazing. I'm sure a large part of that was for Darren, but the other boys definitely have plenty of fans in their own right. I mean, there was practically an uproar when we all found out Dominic wasn't going to be on the tour.

I just... I WANT THIS. I want to do this. I want to help these boys because they are soooooo amazing and deserve all the success they can get.

It's totally the kind of thing I think people would go for. Inexpensive tickets, more up close and personal (basically, I'm thinking something similar to Darren's solo shows - granted I haven't actually been to one, but just from what I've heard).

Welcome to what I do for a living (or try to) as you know.

There are the most amazing awesome places that aren't tiny, but not huge that they could play. Grassroots marketing/pr will take them SO FAR but they need some muscle behind them. Hell like I said to you on tumblr I'm willing to step up and help these boys out. Been there, done that.

Yeah.

I mean, I've got half a dozen place in my head right now from Chicago up to Milwaukee that could work. But, where do you start with something like this? The boys' managers? The clubs? A company like LiveNation to put everything together?

I mean, I really am interested in trying to pursue this, but the biggest thing I've ever done was organizing events at work. One of which I pretty much did single-handedly.

Normally it should start out from management & trickle down. They're the ones that have more of the the hotwire into things.

DO NOT deal with LiveNation unless you're super insanely large huge awesomesauce. If you're not they dick you over & just act like a bunch of prissy holier than thou annoying people (BELIEVE ME I just dealt with them a little bit in April for something - head.ache. like you cannot believe)

This would take no lie, an army & lots of moving pieces because there's so many of them.

I'll be honest, probably won't happen. My friend, who is good friends with Luke, tried to look into putting something like this together and it was pretty much nixed. And that just trying to have it in LA where all the guys could get together for it...

Unless FOX specifically wants to do such a thing, considering the Warblers are theirs, then that's how it will happen. There's a lot of red tape here simply because of how big this machine is. I mean, the only reason Luke got to perform at the Universal thing was because Darren specifically asked for him.

Even if they didn't do any numbers from Glee? Even if it was simply a tour of all their own original music and it just happened to be all of them?

I mean, yeah, realistically, I probably have no chance of getting something like this going. But maybe we could all bombard Fox for a tour? I don't know....

I just think it would be really fun and awesome and amazing for them, ya know?

Well, that's what she was trying to do - just a night of getting the guys together to showcase their talents. Brock singing his music, Jon singing his, R5 doing their stuff, Luke singing his, etc etc. But the thing is, you get them all together and suddenly it *does* become the Warblers...

And then you get into who from the Warblers would you include? And how? Many of them have outside careers, hence why like Telly isn't on the tour, etc. So do you leave Telly out? What about Curt? He's not a singer by profession. (Although, I'd LOVE to see him doing some monologues!!)

Honestly, I don't even think it's something the guys themselves are all that interested in. They always seem to be kind of 'eh' and non-responsive about it. And FOX isn't in to pushing the personal careers of these guys (I could tell you stories). I think at this point a lot of them are being extra careful because of how some of them have already been screwed over.

Ugh. I feel like I'm saying too much here. If you want to know more, email me. I try to keep these guys' drama on the down-low. I love them all far too much.

No, man, not at all! LOL I obviously have no idea about anything at all.

This is just, you know, another one of my completely whacked out and insane dream ideas that is never gonna happen but is nice to think about. If you want to share more, feel free. That's funny. I think I've come across 3 or 4 other users this week with that layout this week. It's a nice layout. I can see why it's popular.
