I feel great! Martouf, maybe not so much

No seriously. I was so worried I was going to feel like crap after ballet class today with having done NOTHING during the six week hiatus. But dammit, I feel awesome. Class was awesome, I didn't lose any flexibility, I was thisclose to getting a double. I knew I just needed new shoes. My old ones are so old I have no idea when I even ordered them.

However, earlier this evening, Martouf took a little trip and bashed his head into the foot of our couch. Yup. Big ol' goose egg right between his eyes. Ugh. Luckily, no blood and his pupils are dilating, so no concussion. But he was not a happy baby for awhile there. :-(

But this morning! Martouf went to his first storytime! My mom and dad signed up for a storytime thing at a local library for toddlers and caregivers. So, every Friday morning they're going to take him. And he was very well behaved, I was glad to hear. When we do storytime before bed he likes to touch the books and turn the pages and I was a little worried he might try and do that, but he did not. Yay! :-)

Oh, head injuries. Get used to those. My son is a pro at them. In the last eight months, he fell and hit his ear, taking a chuck of skin out, as well as falling face fist into the sidewalk at the park and scraping the crap out of his face.

Oh yeah this is like the third time in the last 6 months he's face planted into something. It's always a little tense at first. I'm just happy that there was no blood this time.

Both of my son's involved lots of blood and debates on taking him to the ER for stitches. I think it gets worse as they get older, LOL.

Head injuries aren't just a boy thing. Kenzie got beaned in the head last year by a swing. Then earlier this year she beaned into...I think it was the fireplace hard enough to warrant a trip to the doctor (as she did it within like 2 weeks of the ear tubes going back in and sudden jars in the first couple weeks with this kind can make them come out).

Also \o/ for flexibility!

With Martouf's wild stuntman ways I foresee many head injuries in his future.

Aww poor Martouf!! Hope he is ok now.

Yeah, he's doing fine. The bump is gone and it's just a little bruise this morning. And he's acting like his usual crazy self. LOL
