I finally got the whitecollar_art comm looking the way I want. Custom layout and profile page. The profile page took FOREVER trying to figure out how the get the font settings (size & color) to override what is apparently the default in bullet pointed lists. I ended up having to define that for each list item as it wouldn't work as a master for the table as a whole. There's probably an easier way, but I dunno... LOL

And yesterday while getting the comm set-up I accidentally pasted that custom CSS into MY PERSONAL LJ custom CSS and completely undid everything I had set-up here. Oy. That was a headache getting it all back to normal. I think it's back to normal. Does anything look wacky to you guys?

And I think at some point I'm going to have to edit all my tags here. I have so many duplicates it's crazy. For example: I have a Stargate tag, an SG1 tag, a Stargate SG-1 tag, an Atlantis tag, an SGA tag, etc etc. Yeah, it's a little messy... And that is going to be a PROJECT. Not looking forward to it, but it needs to be done.

So, I didn't think I was going to be getting so involved in this fandom, but it's sucking me in. I've never really been in on the ground floor of a fandom developing like this and I gotta say, it's pretty cool.

So! New fandom means new fan creations. Which for me mean ICONS! And WALLPAPERS! And BANNERS! So, in that spirit I have created:

First, does anyone know what's up with sg_lyrical? I know there was a post a few weeks ago about not having enough for the most recent entries. But other than that.... Anyone? Bueller?

Second, after seeing the previews for both "Deck the Halls" and "Night at the Museum", I believe that Ben Still and Matthew Broderick were sent the wrong scripts. Is it just me? Night at the Museum is totally a Matthew Broderick movie and Deck the Halls is so a Ben Stiller movie. Right? :-D

Thirdly, I think I'm going to write SciFi a letter about Carter going to Atlantis. They're just going to completely ruin the character if they make her a regular, which they probably will. Which totally sucks cos I love Amanda. She is such a sweetheart. I really wish they would let her move onto better things. Carter will just be completely redundant on that show. It's very sad. I mean, I realize the contract stuff is a little tricky. But for goodness sake, just buy her out! Don't ruin the character and possibly the wonderful actress in turn. I dunno. It's aggravating.
