Woke up at 7:00 am to this:

and no power. Yay. Yeah, it's almost April and we had like 6 inches of snow. All of which is now melting and will be gone tomorrow when it gets up to 40 degrees. It is now 4:00 pm and we have power back. We had power for about half an hour around 2:00 and then it went away again. It better stay on this time...

OK. Off to catch up...

Weather-wise, anyway. Winter sucked, as y'all know. Really cold, lots of snow. General suckiness all around. So now, it's finally starting to warm up. Only it's been raining all day for the past two days. And now it's starting to storm with the thunder and lightning and everything. Joy. Not. Can't we just have a nice normal day?

Well, I'm gonna go watch some Leverage and get back to my Eliot vid. I might be able to finish it today!

So, I watched HSM 3 (shut up. Stare at the pretty half-naked Jensen). I must admit, I was entertained. I can see why all the tweens love it. They are a very talented group of young adults.

On that note, a few comments:
1) One of the characters is really names Sharpay? Like, after the dog? WTF is wrong with her parents?!?!
2) Holy bad lip-syncing Batman. If not that, then holy bad syncing in post. That was some of the worst I have EVER seen. And I'm including the Ashley Simpson SNL debacle in that statement.

So, yeah. But don't worry, I won't be giving my LJ a makeover or going on an iconning spree or anything. I'm not that bad.

*stares at pretty Jensen some more*

On a happy note - IT'S 61 DEGREES OUTSIDE!!!! Yay!!!! It's supposed to rain this weekend, but that's OK. Cos it's not snow.

So, we're finally getting decent weather around here. We're up in the 50s!! :-D The 8 foot piles of snow are finally melting and today we actually have rain. I drove home yesterday with my windows down! Just a little bit, but still. The windows were down!! :-D

This weekend is Valentine's, as y'all know. And we have plans! Friday we're actually going down to the auto show. I've never been and I'm very excited. Hubby first asked if it was OK if he went, and I was like "I wanna go." So, yay! Should be good times. Then Saturday we're going out to dinner to this great local steakhouse. They have THE BEST little rolls. I know it's weird, but OMG, they are so good. They're a little bit sweet and they serve them with a honey butter. So, so good.

Then Sunday, I'll be going out with Nikki to see Friday the 13th! JARED!!! LOL Should be good times. It does look really good and it's weird for me to think that since, ya know, I don't do horror movies. *shrug* Oh, well. SPN is making me do all sorts of weird things. :-)

NEW EPISODE TONIGHT!!!

And I seem to have developed a strange fondness for Sam/Jared with flat ironed hair.... Is that wrong?

ETA: And the temperature today (the regular temperature, not the wind chill) is -9. WTF?? Seriously, WTF?

It's snowing again!! Yay!! NOT. :-P This does mean I'm working from home, which is good and bad. Good in that I don't need to go out into the snow and deal with the roads. Bad in that the VPN can be sticky and jerky sometimes. Blech. :-P

However, also in the good category is catching up on some old Misha interviews. :-D Man, that guy is way too sexy for his own good. OK, and you know that kind of creepy staring not-blinking thing Castiel does? Apparently, that's just Misha! Seriously. He did this "interview" with CW Connect and he was just staring at that camera the whole time. It's kind of intense. I've embedded it behind the cut for those interested.

So, there is a fairly high (I'd say 75%) chance that I will be in London for a week or so sometime within the next two months. :-D Lemme 'splain. No, is too long. Lemme sum up... (LOL) My husband's work is going to be sending him to Dubai for a three week stint. There's an office over there they've been cooperating with on several projects. There was one person from this office that had been stationed in Dubai on three month stints for the last year. Well, he's had enough of that, as I would, too. So, the company has decided to send many people over there in three week shifts. Well, the last time they shipped my husband off somewhere we decided afterwards that if he had to travel somewhere we would try to find someway to let me go with. Well, Dubai ain't exactly on the top of my list of places to visit before I die. But England is! So, I think we're going to try and find someway to go to England first or I could meet him there on his way back. So, yeah. I might be crossing the pond soon!! :-) Look out Deeds! I'm coming your way!! Hehe

And I am quite proud of myself at the moment. I watched a horror movie all by myself this evening. Granted, it was the rather silly House of Wax (Jared naked!!

), but still. I don't do horror movies. So, the fact that I did is quite something. LOL

*sigh* I hate this weather. We now have a blizzard warning coming in. Blech. I am so sick of snow. Can winter be over now? Please?

Well, not all of them. But the ones that don't seem to realize that not everyone is driving one! I'm sorry, but my little Saturn has pretty crappy traction. Especially when starting from a dead stop on a road where my tires are not touching actual asphalt. Do you not see my car swerving and fishtailing all over the road? I'm doing the best I can. Please GET OFF MY ASS!

The roads suck. Just horribly suck. It's snowing. AGAIN. Been snowing all morning and the plows just can't keep up. And it's supposed to keep snowing into tomorrow. Fantastic.
