I think some of you might know this (the folks I know in real life, anyway), but I will be having jaw surgery soon. Very soon, hopefully. I am currently undergoing the third orthodontic treatment of my life. Had them when I was young, my ortho passed away, had them taken off. Got that put back on several years later since teeth went crooked again, everything seemed fine. Got a retainer, went off to college. Kinda stopped wearing the retainer and teeth went wonky again. Well, then I got engaged. And I was like, I need straight teeth for my wedding. I would like to be able to smile and be happy with myself on that day. So, my dentist recommended someone. Went to see him, very nice. Great guy. Discovered the root (haha!) of all my problems - my overbite was never properly fixed. So, what I thought was this one tooth sticking out on the side was not happening. My bottom lip was pushing on the top teeth ever so slightly, causing the ones in front to lean inwards. So the sticky-out tooth was actually in line. Well, since I'm an adult and all the muscles, etc are very firmly in place, the only way to correct this is to have my jaw broken and reset. So, I've been to see an oral surgeon several times and he's noted some specifics that needed to be done for the surgery to be successful. And, well, according to my ortho, that is all done. Eep!! So, tomorrow, hubby and I are going to see him again, hope he agrees that everything is in place and set a date for the surgery!! Which is good, cos we're going to Hawaii in August and I want this done before then! LOL So, yeah, my jaw will be wired shut for about a month. I'll be on a liquid diet. Which is why I've gained 10 pounds in the last 2 months. Hehe. So, anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me that everything goes well tomorrow. I want this done. I cannot remember not having braces. I want it over and I want to eat a whole apple and popcorn and all that crap you can't eat when you do have braces.
Oh! And my icon? Gale is back on TV!! Yay!! We saw him for about 30 seconds, but he'll be back next season on Desperate Housewives! Yay!!!!!!!!!

SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gale_on_stage has a bunch of new pics from the opening night celebrations of Suddenly Last Summer (which I just sold my tickets for. *sniff*) Anywho, Gale and Randy are like the adorable-est "non-couple" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) ever. But I have one word for Gale - WAX!! What's with the unibrow man? In this day and age of spa treatments and metro-sexuals, his agent or someone (*cough*Randy*cough*) should just drag him to the nearest salon and have them yank the nasty thing.
SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the strangest Gale dream last night
Nov. 1st, 2006 08:15 amI was in New York with my mom for some reason, never figured that part out. And I somehow met up with Hal Sparks. Who was apparently in Suddenly Last Summer. We were hanging out at the theater and a bunch of other people were there - the other actors and their friends and family. Anyway, we're sitting around talking, laughing, having a good time and Gale comes in. Luckily, I manage to not go crazy. Just kind of look up and smile and nod, like you do on ocassion. And he's still in his costume suit. He sits across the aisle and back a few rows, undoes the tie and the top few buttons of his shirt. I sneakily take out my camera phone, open it up and kind of hold it up by my shoulder/ear all sly like and attempt to snap a pic of him. Cos, OMG, he's so gorgeous. Seriously, in the dream, he was like the hottest thing ever. We end up leaving not too long after that. The next day, I go back to the theater to see if they have any tickets for the Wednesday afternoon show (why my dream is that specific, I dunno). And they have a pack of 3 tickets they could sell me for real cheap, but if I only want two (which I do), I have to pay full price. Huh? Whatever. So, I'm hanging out in the lobby, trying to figure out how I can get the two tickets I want, when Gale and another actor in the show (and a performance was going on at this time), come out to the lobby awaiting their entrance. But they're goofing off and Gale is juggling. So, I start kind of chuckling at them cos they're acting all goofy. Gale looks over and winks at me. OMG. I almost fainted in my dream.
And then I woke up. It was so bizzare.
And my feet still hurt from running around the last two days. Ugh.

Several various things
Oct. 14th, 2006 06:24 pmFirst, I heard "Smack My Bitch Up" on the radio today. Hehe! Those THINGERS on my flist will understand my giddiness at that. :-D
And now I'm not sure if I'll be going to NY in November, any more. Hubby is really not liking it out there. Apparently the leader of the project is a real ass, and the apartment he's sharing (a one bedroom with another guy), is crappier than the crappy apartment he had in college. But he's supposed to be moving somewhere else next week. Some things have started to get a little better. The boss guy has lessened his assholiness a bit, so that's good. Hubby is flying back home next weekend to head down to Tampa for a family wedding. If things are still really sucky at that point, he just won't be going back. If they're OK, he will. It's a lot of extra money that we could use. Plus, I have already booked my flight and the theater tickets in November. So, that would be some money wasted that we could have kept around. *shrugs* So, we'll see. (*WHINES* I wanna see Gale!!! He looks so hot with the new hair!)
( Halloween is almost here! )
( And speaking of hair... )
I think that's all. For now, anyway.....
Thanks for stopping by!

Oct. 6th, 2006 10:48 pmI just booked my plane and theater tickets to New York for November! Yay!! OMG, I'm so excited. My hubby, however, not so much. When I read him the summary of the play he was like, "What?!? What kind of play are you taking me to see?!?!" Too late. Bought the tickets. Tee hee. But also, BLYTHE DANNER! How awesome is that? She's so cool. It's gonna be so great! :-D Yay!
