The Bungalow

I've been jeans shopping for like the last two weeks. Every store I go in, they all suck. It's like all women's jeans now are like 50% spandex, so they're suction cupped to your thighs and then by the end of the day they're all stretched out and falling off your ass. And the material is so thin! What happened to go old fashioned, thick, rough denim that if you wanted to get them soft and broken in YOU HAD TO WEAR THEM? Seriously? Where are these jeans? I've been to Old Navy, Gap, New York and Company, True Religion, Eddie Bauer, J Crew, Freaking LEVI'S. Other stores don't have jeans in tall and I'm not paying to order jeans online that I don't know if they'll fit me. Going by this, nothing will.

I'm so freaking frustrated.

I have like 2 pairs of jeans that fit me that are acceptable for public consumption since my body has changed quite a bit since having Martouf (OMG! I have hips and an ass now!) and it's just lkasjdfh;sdkghf;sdgrf. NOTHING WORKS. I just want a pair of nice straight-legged, heavy weight denim jeans. Am I gonna have to buy men's jeans or something? Boo.

Got some highlights done today. My hair looks soooooooo much better. It was starting to get really drab and flat and dull. And I need to make sure it looks FABULOUS when I go to Vegas next month! Woohoo!! ;-) My salon was having a sale on color processing this week, so I decided to go get some highlights put back in. I really do look best with blonde-type hair color. :-)

Oh! And on my way down, I think I figured out my Show vs. Tell problem. I'm going to start how I've been planning to start: Action starts, jump cut to the next day and the telling. But! Instead of just telling telling, it's going to be a flashback! So, he'll start telling the story and then *Wayne's World Flashback* THE ACTION! I think it'll work out well, so I'm not repeating the action with then the telling, but it still gets done what I need to get done. So, yay! That made me happy.

I'm having issues finding a cardigan or something. I have this t-shirt that I want to wear in Vegas, at least, but it's a little, um, clingy in places. So, I need something to help kinda cover that up. It's this tee in the heather gray. My go to color would be navy blue, but I have a lot of navy blue clothes, so I'm open to suggestions. I was thinking maybe red or purple? But I haven't been able to find anything in the stores. All the spring colors are really bright and sherbet-y. Any ideas?

Discombobulated. I don't know why, really. It's just fun to say and very appropriate for what it means, I think. So, yeah. And I always get a little giggle when I hear other people say it, too. :-D

On a side note - found the cutest online clothing store: Mod Cloth. Mod/vintage-y type stuff. Very, very cute. Adorable dresses. I want them all! LOL Accessories and home decor, too! Go check it out.

So when I got my fabulous skirt for the holiday party, I also got a pair of shoes, as well. I was concerned the pair of shoes that I had that I would wear might be a little too clunky. So, I need your help in deciding if I have to keep the new shoes or if the other shoes I have work well enough. Now, the place where this party is is fairly fancy schmancy. So, when I was doing that shopping thing last week with the dress (which, by the way, my boyfriend said he would buy if it was $200, so I think I'll have to keep an eye out for sales...), I also came across this jacket at Arden B. It's an off-white leather motorcycle type jacket thing (pic behind the cut). It was $98, which really isn't that bad. But if I wanted to get a dress or anything that was cutting into my clothing budget. Well, I hopped on their website earlier (like 5 minutes ago), to look around and see what else they had. And the jacket was on sale!!! For $60!!!! So I ordered it. :-D Hehe. I do love it so. It's so awesome. I want it here now!!

Isn't it awesome? It actually kinda reminds me off Justin's jacket he was wearing in Season 5. But I only noticed that after I tried it on and fell in love with it. So, I'm not that big of a geek. :-D

So, I'm no longer a blonde. :-) I guess you could call me a light brownish. It looks a little red right now, but I think that might just be from mixing with the blonde color. I had to get it done for The Nutcracker. I have this fake hairpiece I might need to use since my hair is so short and it's not blonde. :-) I'll probably go back blonde after the show.

I also got new shoes! Yay!! They're from Skechers. New tennis shoe type things.

I also kind of went dress shopping. We got the invite to my boyfriend's work holiday party. It's at the Prudential building downtown Chicago. Fancy restaurant. Anywho, the boyfriend really needed shoes so we stopped by JC Penney since their entire store is on sale this weekend. While he was at shoes, I went to the dresses. Found one that was really pretty. Can't find a picture of it. :-( Anyway, it was brown, tank, really deep V. Like way past the cleavage. With a cool goldish/beaded broach at the end of the V. The back had a little train to it, too. It was really pretty. He didn't like it though. I'm sure I can find something better, anyway. :-)

I also finished my first (long) QAF Fanfic. Yay!! I sent it to my beta (Thanks Luna!!!). I'll post it when I get it back. It's like the first in a series. I don't know if any if you remember, but a while back, paddies posted a story that someone else wanted to see about Brian being this porn king and Justin getting dragged in after his dad kicks him out and the producers want to do the whole "pop the virgin's cherry" on film thing. That's this story. The first part is done. I'll probably do at least 2 more, maybe 3 depending on where the muse takes me.

I need to get going on smut_69. Espcially since I also signed up for the scrooged challenge. Ugh. I think I can use the one story I already wrote for one of the prompts. Maybe I'll get that up tomorrow so I don't look like too much of a slacker. Hehe.
